Tuesday is Tea Day

I sometimes watch TV in my craftroom, another reason why the cup of tea often goes cold before I get round to drinking it.
Remembrance day has been on our news programs and the events that are supported here in the UK. One program I  try to watch is the Memorial Service at the Cenotaph in London.[On Sunday] I tried to take a few photos to share.
You can see that my portable TV sits on the shelf, surrounded by my craft stuff.
The Queen now watches from the balcony of the nearest building with  other members of the Royal family. Prince Charles lays her wreath  before his own.

Ten of thousands of people attend this service   each year.
We continue to remember, these brave men and women.

..........................................

Hello everyone  who calls in to see me today,
my Tday cup was in the first photo,
I also want to thank you for the tips you gave me on which glues to use for sticking down napkins
last week. I will let you know how I get on  I get round to ordering   a new to me glue. As I said last time I still have a scraping left in the pot.

I have another fun page with the Veggie kids to share with you

They have picked out quite a quantity of fruit this week.
We are encouraged to eat 5 potions of fruit and vegetables a day,
it looks like they have enough to last them quite  few days.

I will be joining.......
Art Journal Journey and Rike's theme of  Fruit and Veggies

However you spend today,
I hope it will be a good one for you all

  5. I am surprised that you got such clear PHOTOS from the TV monitor!
Your page with the Veggie kids really made me smile! They eat five portions a day - this I never be able to do, two portions and it's enough for me :) Much more I like to paint them :))
Thank you for another wonderful entry to my theme at AJJ!

  9. OH, Yvonne, thank you SO much for this. I am so happy you shared the ceremony at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday. I see both the Queen (yes, I was named for her) and Charles had the five poppy badge they were wearing. This made me feel so good you shared these, especially after you explained about Charles laying the wreath this year. Personally, I think she looks better than Charles.

That's a darling digital entry for Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey. It's a real beauty. Had to laugh at the child who felt like there was enough veggies and fruit for several days. It was clever indeed.

Thanks SO much for sharing photos from the Cenotaph ceremony, the Art Journal Journey entry, and your cup of tea in your incredible craft room with us for T this Tuesday.

  11. Thanks for sharing the photos from the TV program showing the Remembrance Day ceremony. It's nice to hear that a lot of people still attend each year, to show their respects. I like your bunny cup. Wonderful artwork. Happy T-Day!

  12. These national ceremonies are important, I think, and help link the generations with the ones before. Sweet :) I love those hats.

    Happy T Tuesday!

  14. Yvonne you’re veggie kids are so cute. I must admit that the Remembrance Parade brings a tear to my eye as my husband was in the British Army and has been on many parades, used to make me so proud to see him in his Uniform as we usually only saw him in combat kit, I know just how much work goes into those parades, everything cleaned , boots, uniforms, I used to help clean his best boots, with water with a splash of aftershave and Kiwi polish!
Have a great week, Jan x

  18. The fairies have the right idea. Maybe they are going to put some veggies and fruit in the freezer?
That is an interesting object near the top left. is it a fairy gardening broom?

The Remembrance Ceremony is a wonderful event, always very moving.

  19. Thanks for sharing views from the service. (We don't have TV).
I like your Five-a-day page. Those fairies look so fat, I don't think they eat much veg.
Sorry for being so late again. I'm never home on Tuesday and Wednesday is a very busy day, so usually I don't get to comment until Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  21. Sorry Yvonne, thought I had commented on this post but I don't see one from me. You know, I never learned much about WWI in public school, other than Wilson ran on not to go to war then took us to war, heavy combat in France's forests, huge flu pandemic migrated back to USA afterward. Never knew London was bombed until a few years ago. Spotlight always on WW2 bombings and I knew about those. Love your green page and its message. xoxo
