The morning cuppa

Hello everyone who stops by to see me today
and friends from Bleubeard and Elizabeths where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post on Tuesdays.

The mug of tea was to hand on my desk and I did manage to get a  hands on crafty session  as well as a computer crafty  digital play. I think I would have enjoyed a lemon  cup cake with my tea that morning, but less calories were involved when using digital programs.

I had a stencil background to use, yes it looks  a bit messy, but that is the  usual state  of many pages in my journal I fussy cut the critter, who  is clutching the cuppa.

I can relate to this new stamp image I purchased recently and the words.
I am no good without a couple of large mugs  full of tea before I start my day.

Challenges
I am adding my apologies to the folk at AEDM,
my plans to join in each day have gone AWOL
I am a few days missing,
I have good intentions.......  but the days turn up with other plans for me.

I will also add my digital journal page to Rike's theme... Fruit and Veggies
at Art Journal Journey. Fresh lemon slices in a cup of tea is a refreshing lift me up at any time of the day.

  4. I love both of your pages this week-I loved the digital one.
I would have a difficult time making an art piece every single day-but it is a great idea to make time for art each day.
    Happy T Kathy

  5. I do love that fresh and inviting tea page with the lemons and lemony cupcake! Messy backgrounds are such fun to make and I think add so much interest to a piece. Love the new stamp- only for me I have to have my coffee in the morning:) Happy T day!

  6. Haha, great words - I used to be EXACTLY that way! I didn't wake up properly until after 10, so it suits me to a tee. Love that tea background, too. Glad you got some hands on craft time...it's so good for us.

  8. Such fabulous artwork! The digital cuppa page looks amazing and I'm loving the look of the cupcake, it looks so fresh and yummy 😁. Your journal page made me smile too with the grumpy cat and fun wording - perfect! Sending you very Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x

  9. I absolutely adore the tea. I know that white and green are best for me, but I actually prefer black tea. It will definitely go well with the lemon cup cake. This is SUCH fun. I was in awe of this digital entry that honors both T Stands For Tuesday and Rike's theme at Art Journal Journey.

Your second entry is also perfect for T. The background stencil is awesome. You find the BEST stencils. The sentiment fits me, too, only with coffee. I love everything about it, and how diverse you are in your art. BTW, I'll take the simple things in life, too. After all, I just spent five hours cleaning out my sock drawers. NO ONE needs that many socks.

  10. I love that mug, great motto.
Hmmm, when I still had my job I got up 04:40 a.m. - cause I wanted to :-)
My Brother could relate much better to your card (oh, and they are lucky enough to have a cat, too!).
Happy T-Day and hugs from here xx

  12. I love you page on the 'virtues of chocolette'. Yes, a calory free lemon cup cake would be lovely, thanks.
And your 'I don't do mornings' is great. I can relate to that as I am definitely NOT a morning person. When I still worked my colleagues would avoid giving me morning shifts if they cold help it as I was no good at all in the morning. Not grumpy, but just not awake yet, so getting everyone organised in the morning was always a disaster.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  13. Wonderful cards. The second really made me laugh. I used to be very grumpy in the morning, but 34 years with laid back Himself has mellowed me somewhat. I like to ease into the day. That lemon cupcake would help a lot. Happy T Day

  14. Oh lemon cupcakes would taste good with a cup right now since I finished dinner awhile back and a little sweet would be nice, but you are so right about the calories. I like the page. And that cute kitty too. He looks like a fun guy. I hope you had a great T day. Hugs-Erika

  16. Both pages are fantastic! The lemon cup cake would be a treat now to my tea after lunch and this new critter stamp is absolutely cool! I am also never really awaken before having my first tea or grain coffee.
Happy belated T-Day and thank you for joining AJJ again - I can imagine that it isn't easy to post and make art every single day. Exhausting ...toooo exhausting...lol.

    Big hugs, Susi

  22. Your tea page gave me cravings - not only for lemon cake but for lemon tea which was always my favourite drink when I was younger. I haven't had any for years, but I may need to go and boil the kettle now. It's a beautiful page. I love the humour of the grumpy cat and the perfect chaotic background to reflect his inner turmoil - brilliant!

  25. Haha!. I should have had a digital bar of chocolate this afternoon. Maybe next time.
I so sympathise with the cat, that is a great piece and the background is perfect as it covers how the cat feels before he has had his cuppa.
I also understand perfectly well how the days turn up with other plans from our own plan of making art.
Have a great week, Yvonne, with plenty time for whatever you want to do.

  26. A lovely delish page, Yvonne. Yes, I will help you eat that cupcake! I'm also no good without a cuppa or two but it needs to be coffee. Then I drink tea as a perk-up. I'm especially partial to Spiced Chai. xoxo
