Love Nature

Even the smallest of our insects, if you take time to look  can be beautiful.

Visiting blog friends over the past weeks I have been amazed
at what they have been creating in a small time.... 5 minutes.
So this is my attempt, NOT in 5 minutes  - it took about 30 and I had sorted out all the things from my bits and pieces that I wanted to use.
I swiped ink blocks over the page , added a couple of paper scraps,
sprayed it with my own mixed spray. A few random flower stamps
Next the dragon fly scrap, already to go,  on a piece of pre printed tissue
A die cut feather from Chris, added a pop of colour.
I used a heat gun to help with the drying. and
the computer helped me to add the quote.

I will be  joining the folk at Art Journal Journey
for Bleubeard and Elizabeth's lovely theme for the month....
Count your blessings.

My blessing today are.... appreciating nature
.........being thankful that I can use both my hands again
and for the the inspiration I find out there in Blogland.

Thank you for calling in today, your visit is always very much appreciated.

  2. I'm also a big fan of nature, Yvonne. I agree that the 5 minute challenges seem far fetched to me, because it takes me five HOURS just to figure out a theme. Then, like you, I have to hunt and peck and find the items I want to use. I really love your NOT 5 minute journal entry, and just as much that you chose to include it with my theme at Art Journal Journey. That background is great and the dragonfly was the icing on the cake.

  3. This is so beautiful - such depth and I love all the elements and how perfect you put all together!
And a fabulous quote dear Yvonne! I am happy that you can use both your hands again and this page shows how perfect you use them. It's a fantasic 30 minutes art . I could never do something in 5 minutes I admit.Neither in 30 minutes.
My projects mostly have to rest for one, two, or even three days since the ideas come together. All the more I appreciate what you have done here and say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for supporting Elizabeth's August theme so very well my friend! Much sppreciated as you know! I feel also blessed to have you as an ever-present inspiration! Thank you!
    Big hugs, Susi

  9. Insects are really fascinating little creatures, I agree. Except for the ones that bite but I guess they even feed some animals so that is good. Your page is gorgeous. Dragonflies are one of the most interesting insect of them all. ANd yes, also pretty in their own way. Have a great weekend my friend. So glad you have both hands back to use. Hugs-Erika

  10. Beautiful page Yvonne - love the colour combo and wonderful quote.
I've been aware for a few years of less insects in our garden i.e ladybirds, lacewings and even spiders
and I just hope the extreme weather we have had hasn't made things worse. Having said that the ants/flying ants
in our garden and conservatory (arghh!) seem to have been ok.
Hope your arm is improving day by day.
    Gill xx

  12. Love it but that might have something to do with the fact that I have a soft spot for dragonflies!

  13. Oh Balderdash to that 5-minute art thing. Fake news. Besides, that would make me so nervous I couldn't create! xoxo
