Diary Day ..... week 35 and a right mess

Diary day.... week 35

This page  started off in a right mess, I'd used gesso and ink pads to try and cover the pre-printed background. I had no idea  how it would turn out.
I used a few scraps of printed tissue  and some die cuts and as usual a stencil to take it over to  the opposite page.

Not all my ideas go to plan, but I count it as a blessing that I can now  get into my craftroom and get the paints out and enjoy  some messy down time.
So for one last time this month I will join
Bleaubeard and Elizabeths theme over at
where for August they  asked us to
'Count your Blessings'.

I have so enjoyed this theme  and thank you for getting me to count my blessings this past month .

  4. I love it when a page or project takes you by surprise - starting out by feeling troublesome and messy and then turning into something really lovely, which this has certainly done. Love the insects hovering in the background and the pop of those lovely flower die-cuts.

  9. This is gorgeous Yvonne. I love the colors and the nature feel you gave it. We are in a big dragonfly season right now so I find that really appealing about your page. It does feel like outside right now. Have a super rest of your Friday and weekend. Hugs-Erika

  10. What a blessing you have been Yvonne. Your diary pages always make me happy, and even though I have no idea what this looked like when you started, it is a gorgeous entry and cohesive diary spread, now. Even the mess you created in the first step out photo looks good. You certainly found all the right elements to turn this into a gorgeous nature inspired entry. Thank you beyond belief for your generous entries this month. You have made Bleubeard and me feel truly blessed by sharing your incredible art with us at Art Journal Journey.

  11. Yvonne I see no mess before me just beautiful blends of colour creating atmospheric marks, there are no mistakes in art that can not be recovered by sharing for others eyes to see. Beautiful diary pages.
