I am having inky withdrawl symptoms so decided to look through my journals
to see if I had any background pages that I could use.
I got quite excited when I found a page which, was inked, probably mop ups to start with and a bit of random stamping.
My next problem was to find stamps I could handle hey presto....feathers, a bit forgiving when smudged and easy to touch up with black pen.
The jar.... phew... I got the stamp block turned over and onto the page without dropping it.
The words are a stencil
At this stage I decided to add the stitches and black flowers in the digital program I use, just in case my luck ran out.
I am counting down the days now....7 to go until I hopefully can use both hands.
I will join the folk over at Art Journal Journey
and Chris's theme
Art for Arts Sake
Thank you for calling in to see me today, your comments are always appreciated.
A sweet little stillife you created. I like it much.
ReplyDeleteDear Greetings
Sabine
This is lovely, and I enjoyed reading your post about it.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Yvonne! This is brilliant - if I didn't know about your arm I would have been impressed with this page but this is above and beyond etc. etc.! Thank you so much for linking once again to Art Journal Journey! I'm almost on count down with you - hang on in there! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI can understand why you are having inky withdrawals. It must be tough to stop doing what you love while you heal. Well the page is super and I think you managed to add the stamped images so they look like you used both hands. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal page, Yvonne. I have two hands and have dropped stamps in the wrong place many times. That's why I don't stamp. Yours is brilliant and well thought out, too. It's even nicer that you have joined us again at Art Journal Journey. It's a fabulous entry.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page, love the cool, blue colours. Great that you managed it with just one arm. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow- you are already a one handed stamp pro meanwhile! Gorgeous! I love the original alone without the digital additions and the digital additons are really just the very last great touch! You have such an eye for composition dear Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday and thanks so much for joining again at Chris' Art for Art's sake theme!
You rock with your one hand creating!
I can tell you how happy we are here just now:
Our boy Liyongo has had a big surgery on Tuesday - we are so happy to still have him - he had a bad splenic tumor of 12 cm , but fortunately this tumor hadn't begun a cycle in his body- so it all looks fantastic so far and he is on the way to recover and already at home with us. We are just sooo happy!
Big hugs, Susi
Oh Susi, I´m so happy your Liyongo is improving and that the surgery has gone well. I am very happy, It´s a very good news, big kiss. Caty
DeleteBrilliant page, love the blue.xx
ReplyDeleteYou are getting far too accomplished at one handed art! Good to hear that relief is now only a week away, fingers crossed that it's a very happy outcome.

Yvonne when you finally get that cast off you will not know what to do with your other hand as you are doing a mighty fine job with the other. Love that Feather, makes for a fabulous journal page.
ReplyDeleteHugs for the week ahead Tracey xx
