This week I am so pleased that there are pre coloured pages in my diary.
I am not one to give up on plans made and my weekly diary is one of those , even though I may have been tempted to decorate the pages later.
I have been able to use some stencils , held in place with tape, it was a bit of a performance to get the lids off the inkpads with
only my right hand.
only my right hand.
Okay, its not a crisp outline to Mr U, and he is a bit smudged around the edges, I used pens for outlines and the words. but hey, this a goal achieved for me this week.
I have to thank Chris, using Mr U came from a fantastic journal spread
I saw on her blog the other day.

Thank you for calling in today,
Your visits are always very much appreciated.
Wow - this is just perfection even though you just have one hand for using! You are unstoppable with your creative art! A fabulous spread for the calendar - I simply love the UM - he fits nearly everything and always looks soo good.Simply a gentleman!
ReplyDeleteAnd the quote fits perfect to you just now! You are a heroine to don't stop creating! Happy start of the weekend! Thank you very much for yet another inspiring linked page for Art Journal Journey and here come some healing wishes for your fractured radius as well! ♥♥♥

Well done on getting your diary page done with one hand, it looks great, as always. Have a lovely weekend, take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I call this fabulous! What a brilliant way to decorate your journal page and well done for battling with the ink lids! Mr UM seems appropriate for today as we are at the caravan and have at last had some rain! You certainly are adapting well to your storm -Thank you so much for linking to Art Journal Journey! Wishing you a great weekend! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI'm only just catching up with the news of your fall (scrolled down to find out what happened, and very much enjoyed all I saw... especially that digi page - off there to take a closer look in a second)... so sorry to hear about it, and I do hope you'll find your way to bluer skies and a full recovery soon. Though I have to say I love these warm colours and the drift of raindrops onto the white diary page, and I always love Umbrella Man.

Oh Yvonne but I love those blurred edges, it really adds a air of mystery about Mr U Man. I'm so glad to see you are keeping to your Diary days, here's hoping you will be back on top form very very soon.
ReplyDeleteCreative hugs for the weekend Tracey xx

Glad to see you back with some art. Fuzzy isn’t a bad thing. Especially if it’s better than not doing anything. Hope the arm is improving. Hugs. Erika
ReplyDeleteYou are managing remarkably well with just one arm!

I wish I could make with two hands what you do with one, Yvonne! This is terrific. The minor smudging makes it look more like it rainy - maybe foggy. I bet you can't wait to get those splints off. It should be pretty soon, I hope. Hugs, Eileen
ReplyDeletePersonally, you did better with your one hand and stencils, along with ink than I could have done with both hands. This is a wonderful, wonderful spread for your calendar journal. I am, as always, in love with how you treat your calendar pages. And to add to the beauty of it all, you are sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteYou will look back on this page and know it was The One-handed One and be proud. And hey, you can always tidy it up later if you care to, once you have been sprung from your prison. Love! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou'd never know you were suffering and only using one hand to have created your fantastic diary page Yvonne - well done you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colours and of course the wonderful 'Mt U'

Wow, you created such beautiful pages using the stencils! I don't know how you managed it with only one hand, and I bet you can't wait for those troublesome splints to be gone 😉. I hope you are having a lovely week! J 😊 x
