Bicycles

A card I made for my OH last month for his birthday.
He was a keen cyclist and it is one of the sports my family enjoy viewing on TV.
We used  to take our cycles to France when the boys were young- teenagers  ,[ they both still cycle] taken apart they  all fitted inside the caravan. Destination reached the bikes were re- assembled.
We  have some great memories, seeing the Tour de France routes, pedalling through vineyards, even  visiting some beautiful Chateau  on the bikes.

Anyway back to the card, lots of layers as you can see,  a Stampendous image
and Vintage Photo distress ink for added shading.

There is still another week for you to enter the current challenge at Try it on Tuesdays
there the theme is  'For Him'.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today. I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

If you have come to visit me on T day.

  1. Lovely card, I was out on my bike today! But it is a bit more modern than the penny-farthing on the card. Hugs Valerie

  5. Bill is keen on cycling, though these days he uses an electric mountain bike as it's rather hilly round here! Dad cycled too and the pair of them would chat about the Tour de France over the summer when we got together, this card would work for so many men :-)

Ps I rescued the card I made for this year!

  14. Your card looks great, I like the way you have used the rusty colours and the transparent patterned frame. Cycling in France sounds pretty good.

  15. Love that vintage cycle image and the lovely layers. I cycled everywhere when I was younger but didn't ride a bike for years and then the last time I tried I fell off, thought you were never supposed to forget how to ride a bike, well I did LOL !

  24. Heaven forbid, Yvonne. Here it is Thursday and I am just now playing catch up. I used to date a guy who was a cyclist. His bike weighed about 1 1/2 lbs. I was shocked the first time I lifted it. The front wheel detached and it fit in his car, too, so I can imagine all the bikes in your caravan.

Of course, as great as your back story is, that card is equally lovely. You make fantastic masculine cards, but this one is even more special. Apparently your motto is that you can't have too many layers!
