I realy started off this journal page with
in mind , where Mary is hosting the current theme of ....Maps.
It seemed to take a life of its own with the lady propping up the post box ,
she was ready to take her afternoon tea.
The pair on the telegraph pole stand no chance of being served a cuppa up there.
This brings me to T stands for Tuesday over at
Here is my photo for today to tempt you all with,,,
a very English Afternoon tea.
My OH and I went in to have a sandwich and ended up ordering this tasty stack of delights.
Yes, some sandwiches, currant scones with butter, strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Last but not lease some delicious looking cakes.
Now the cakes proved a step to far, but hey, they weren't left behind.
Carefully wrapped in a napkin, we took them home to eat with a cup of Chai
later that evening.
Thank you for visiting with me today, I have enjoyed your company.

Love your fun page, what a glorious combination. I haven't had breakfast, so your stack of food looks very tempting. Great journal page, and thanks for joining us at AJJ with this patriotic page, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe tea room in my town closed shortly after I visited. Although I had tea there, they didn't serve high (afternoon) tea there. You could order a piece of pie or cake, but no sandwiches, scones, or other pastries. I envy you this trip out to a real afternoon tea with your loved one. What a great time. And to think, it was not only enough for two, but enough for another meal. I adore those mugs you served the chai in, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this very British afternoon at tea with us for T this Tuesday. And of course, those poor ladies on the telegraph pole don't know what they're missing!
i totally love your afternoon tea Collage! happy t-day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy looking lunch!! Fun page too, love the two on top of the pole!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really an eye catching page. Perfect for T day. I like the partial flag and that lady looks like she definitely wants her tea. Your tea cakes look yummy too, glad you could bring them home for another day. Enjoy your day and hope you get a little sunshine and summer now that its here! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteA fab page, love the 'England map' with that elegant lady.

A very British journal page! I like the look of that lady (suffragette?)
ReplyDeleteAnd a yummy looking high tea! Wow! It's a while since I had one of those. Just one scone and clotted crem would suffice for me, but you had all those biscuits to take home (I'm surprised they didn't provide you with a box or something). I spotted my favorite chai in the pink barrel. Whenever we go to UK I buy one as I love that particular instant chai.
It is 13:30 here and we are off to have lunch in a restaurant. Your page certainly has made my tummy rumble!
Happy T-Day,
Blessings,
Lisca

Your wonderfully English collage is just perfect.
I have been reading a bit about the upcoming vote in the UK and feel for everyone.
Seems the world is very unsettled and turbulent on so many fronts.
