Sing your love song

Another couple  pages for
Art Journal Journey
there is still another week   to go on the current theme set by Hazel
......If music be the food of love.
This is the digital version of my mixed media page.
I have been inspired by my blog friend Susi and all the wonderful journal pages she makes.
especially the ones that include birds.
Now I have to admit I cannot draw anything that   vaguely resembles  a bird or any known creature, but I can fussy cut.
I have a box of magazine pull out papers and  pictures that I save.
So when I was sorting through it, these two love birds came  to light.
I think they may have come  from an American craft magazine in the pull out to use section.

This is the mixed media  base I made, using water colours, texture paste. lace  and some metal bits and pieces

This is the mixed media version with the cut out birds.

The digital additions came from Dezinaworld kits and my own stored images.
Please pop over to visit June at Dezinaworld, this generous lady has an amazing offer for us all

Thank you for calling to see me today, the comments you leave me are always appreciated.

  9. Peggy...This is so precious. The love birds, the hearts, the music, and that beautiful blue background. I adore it and I like the other version, too, tho the first is my favorite. I have a question for you being the newbie I am...What is texture paste and where do you come up with little metal bits? The creation of your base is so important to your overall piece and I have to clue how to try to recreate it. Would love to give it a try if I could figure out what the two parts are. Hugs....genie
