When Felix asked Mimi out for a romantic dinner,
she never imagined she would have to catch her own fish,
then cook it on an open fire.
Love moves in many ways, at least Felix had hired a local seagull
to whistle a tune while they were waiting for the fish to bite.
I think they were in for a long wait, those fish look wise to me.
A digital page using a mixed media background and card as a base
where Hazel is hosting this months theme of--if music be the food of love.
Digital additions are from mischief Circus kits and my stored images.
This is the textured background I used,
it was embossed Kraft card
and shaded with distress inks.
Now for the card that I used for the base, here it is on the left.
A stenciled background and I just had to ink up these new stamps. Tim Holtz's Crazy Cats. These cats were water coloured.
Looks like Mimi got her romantic dinner cooked and they enjoyed the fish.
Thank you for calling to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

Poor Mimi, I think she doesn't like blue fish very much. Amusing that the seagull was keeping them entertained.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun and an excellent illustration of the story.
Beautiful page with an adorable scene! I really like those cats. Your fun story made me smile!

Cute digi page and card, the cats are too fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile with your adorable stories, and this one is no different. Mimi may have caught her own fish, but I suspect Felix caught her heart in the process. I suspect the bird had something to do with it. Great art, and wonderful storytelling.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Yvonne. I love that embossed background, and I guess the crazy cats craze has begun! lol. Here's hoping that Felix asked Mimi catch a fish. hugs :)
