Golden hours
Back in an inky mode today for this journal page.
A watercolour washed background.
Stencils of the clock and flowers were added using distress inks,
The butterflies[Stampers Anonymous] were spray painted with a home made colour blend,
it had been in the spray for ages and had to be used up,
I ended up using the brush as they came out all grainy looking.
Anyway the sweet image is from A Day for Daisies.
Looking at this does make me think of babies and something an old neighbour said to me
many, many years ago, when my boys were just weeks old..
many, many years ago, when my boys were just weeks old..
Never wish them to be older,
enjoy every moment of , now.
You can never turn back the clock.
Thank you for calling to see me today, I appreciate the time to take to leave me a comment
This is a sweet page, with lovely colours and images. Your saying is very true and baby days are soon gone.

What a precious page. This page is very clever and so pretty! I've never heard of the golden hour, but what a nice saying. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, lovely - I love how the wild flowers are so dramatic, but stop at the edges of the clock to leave the mother and baby in peace for their golden hours together.

Golden hours indeed - 3 boys under five years old had it's moments but I wouldn't have swapped those days for anything - I don't envy the mothers of today that feel they need to work! I love the image you have used. Hugs, Chrisx
