Hope

A journal page for Alison's theme
'Pockets     and Tags
 over at
The background is a stencil  mop up  to much purple paint to waste,
in fact it did another print after this one.
I used my digital program to create  a tag using photos of this next hands on  page.

The  page   in my journal, with  a selection of stamps and a mop up background. My water colour paints on the light bulb turning out a bit yellow for my liking . I tried gesso to calm it down  but opted  to add
the digital image of a light bulb in my experiments to create a tag.

This page has been in the making for a number of days,  I lost the plot a bit on where it was going and finally decided to share with AJJ before it was  deemed  one  not to share.

My head is still looking for the light bulb moment.

Stay safe everyone.

Gifts and pockets

Thank you

Above is the journal  page I made  to keep in a safe place the pieces Elizabeth sent to me to celebrate the 7th Birthday of the weekly
T stands for Tuesdays gathering where we get together to share a drinks related post

Even safer is the piece of handmade paper  that   came in the envelope.
I will use that when I have more time to create.

The cats were added digitally they wanted to join the party and visit with Bleubeard and Squiggles.

I have missed calling in for tea  for a few weeks,
but I assure you many cups have been consumed as I care for my hubby.
I chipped one of my favourite cups , but as I hate to throw things away,
it now serves as a holder for brushes and pencils.
so I hope this will be acceptable as my cuppa ,
to let me join this weeks gathering.
It may not be today but I will call in to see you soon.

My journal page includes some pockets and tags
I will join in Alisons theme of
......Pockets and tags
Stay safe everyone
and look after yourselves.

Splash and Splatter at....... TioT's

Splash and Splatter
is the new challenge theme over at
Try it on Tuesdays
I created this card in the digital program I have on my computer
using my hands on inky  splashed  page and  stamped images.

The  splashed  page   as it looked in my journal to begin with. Stamped and fussy cut flowers came next

This is the page I am saving in my journal,
for me each day has to count.

My apologies for not visiting you all as often as I would like, my priorities these days are to take
 care of my hubby.
I hope you are all safe and well.

Please pop over to TioT's to get all the information on the latest challenge theme.

We hope you will join us and share your
Splashes and Splatters.

Words and Numbers.......... at TioT's

Try it on Tuesdays is.........

 Words and Numbers.

You can  as always use any materials or styles as long as you include
 words/or numbers/or both

A photo of how Agnes was looking before I added the words and numbers,  she counted the days since she last had a play in her craft space and decided to get out one of her largest brushes
and have some fun, time for herself to relax and escape the world.
It is a stencil background with a variety of stamped images.
Colouring was distress inks and paints.

The quote I  is used is....
Don't think about making art, just make it.
Let everyone else decide if its good or bad,
whether they love it or hate it,
while they are deciding make even more art.

I cannot remember how many times I have been unhappy with the journal pages or card  I have created .  These days I am happy just to be able to sit for a while  and  get ink onto paper.
So even if its just one word we hope you will join us at TioT's
and share your art with us there.

Stay safe
and thank you for calling in to see me today.

Pockets and Tags at Art Journal Journey

A new  month and a new theme
'Pockets and Tags '
 over at.....  Art Journal Journey
where we are welcoming Alison  from  Craftytrog's Arty Adventures our Guest Designer for August.

A compilation of a few of the  hands on stages in my journal before I  added the extra detail  in the computer program I use.

I used a stencil to begin with and then collected together some tags etc. mainly Graphics 45 bits and pieces .  The orange flower petals had been  lying on the table for quite a while waiting to be used.  I added the tags etc in a paper corner pocket and behind cut out strips. Handy to reach for should I need to use them  in future on other journal papers.

We hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey and look forward to seeing how you interpret this theme.

Thank you for calling in, your comments are always appreciated
Stay safe  everyone.

Summertime.... at TioT's

Our new theme at
 Try it on Tuesdays is.....
Summertime
Please pop over for all the details and see how we have all interpreted the theme.
We are sure you will have  fun with this topic and as always everything you create is up to yourselves, as long as you use the theme.

This is how my page began, with bookprint scraps left over from our last theme, second impressions  using a stencil and  an excess of yellow distress ink, which when spritzed with water   and finally smooshed around gave me the yellow base I was looking for.

The images were added digitally together with the words.

I will also link this journal page to Erika's theme
When its hot  at

Thank you for calling in and however you spend your day,
I hope it will be a good one for you.

Tuesday musings

I will begin by asking myself where this last week has gone
with an apology   for my lack of visits .
Must try harder will be written on my school report  if  I were to be given one.
This page I wanted to look happy, colourful,
so I could link to Erika's theme......When its Hot..... at Art Journal Journey

Tuesday is also T day over at
where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post
Our hosts are celebrating a special day today, the 7th Birthday of the Tuesday T day gathering.

Not tea this week, a cup of frothy instant coffee,
out of a packet that had been lurking in my cupboard for a while.

I began with  one of my usual messy backgrounds  and some cup out pieces from a free store food magazine, they weren't stuck down at this stage and I wasn't sure I was happy with this version.......off to the computer and more play time

The version on the left came next, still not happy, I was having a real crafting block, which happens frequently these days.
But I think I prefer the  fun first one with the cake to share with friends  at the end of the rainbow.

Thank you for calling in to see me , however you spend the day I hope it will be a good one for you.
