Pockets and Tags at Art Journal Journey

A new  month and a new theme
'Pockets and Tags '
 over at.....  Art Journal Journey
where we are welcoming Alison  from  Craftytrog's Arty Adventures our Guest Designer for August.

A compilation of a few of the  hands on stages in my journal before I  added the extra detail  in the computer program I use.

I used a stencil to begin with and then collected together some tags etc. mainly Graphics 45 bits and pieces .  The orange flower petals had been  lying on the table for quite a while waiting to be used.  I added the tags etc in a paper corner pocket and behind cut out strips. Handy to reach for should I need to use them  in future on other journal papers.

We hope you will join us at Art Journal Journey and look forward to seeing how you interpret this theme.

Thank you for calling in, your comments are always appreciated
Stay safe  everyone.

  1. I love how you added lots of tags to the page, along with a nice pocket, too. That orange flower is very dimensional and really moves your eye from corner to corner. Thanks for the inspiration of this first journal entry, dear Yvonne.

  5. Love all the inventive ways you have inserted tags into your page - great ideas there! It is a pretty page too, and I do like the torn edges on your paper - a favourite of mine, especially when they are inked. Love the LO you used too. A great page to start us off with.

  13. Love, love this page. Perfect composition of the fanned tags and ephemera at the bottom right, and such a lovely sun-kissed look to the colour palette (and the central paper looks as though it might have been out in the sun for a while - perfect distressing round the edges!). Love those white flowery stems added digitally too. Gorgeous!

  15. Beautiful page Yvonne, it's almost a shame to cover up your stencilled background but your pocket & tags are a lovely addition. Always love adding a corner edge in my journals, handy to keep little keepsakes in. Happy August hugs Tracey xx
