A journal page for Alison's theme
'Pockets and Tags
over at
The background is a stencil mop up to much purple paint to waste,
in fact it did another print after this one.
I used my digital program to create a tag using photos of this next hands on page.
The page in my journal, with a selection of stamps and a mop up background. My water colour paints on the light bulb turning out a bit yellow for my liking . I tried gesso to calm it down but opted to add
the digital image of a light bulb in my experiments to create a tag.
This page has been in the making for a number of days, I lost the plot a bit on where it was going and finally decided to share with AJJ before it was deemed one not to share.
My head is still looking for the light bulb moment.
Stay safe everyone.
This page turned out beautifully Yvonne, and it's perfect for the challenge. Thanks for persevering with it :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend,
Alison xx
Sometimes those light bulb moments change course. I really like how this turned out. You put a lot into it to get it where it turned out. I like the stenciled background, too. But I like the double tags, both showing Hope. This is a lovely and uplifting entry for Alison's theme at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteYour pages are beautiful, in all variations. I think we are all always looking for THE lightbulb moment. We need to hold onto our hopes. Have a good weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh these are fab Yvonne! I think you already found a light bulb moment in their creation - gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous Yvonne. And I know you must be believing in the sentiment right now. Hope for better things is what we are all doing, even when things are good. Love all 3 pages my friend. Hope you are having a good day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful pieces!
ReplyDeleteThe Variations are very pretty!
Greetings Elke
Looks like you had a light bulb moment & a lot of fun x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!
ReplyDeleteI always sleep with a little light on, now I know why!
I got tickled by your post. I began to think how much you use digital and then what all I have come to be able to do hybrid-wise. A lot but still I don't produce an entirely digital piece. Started out being very against that, so I'm proud to have developed some hybrid skills such as resizing & tweeking my photos, and sizing my digital elements to print. If it doesn't involve too steady and precise a hand, I can even erase something, That's about it though, lol. XOX
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and soooo well done. I love how you create and I am fascinated by how you do it! Great focus on light! hugz
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pages! The stamps are gorgeous and I'm loving the bright yellow bulb, it contrasts beautifully with the rest of the page - perfect 😀. Take care and happy weekend! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI like the way the tag is sitting on its purple patterned page as if it always belonged there and there is another little tag at the top which is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThe second page is very different and complex. I'm not surprised you got lost in it and I'm glad you got it out to show it to us.
I like everything, Yvonne. I love the bright yellow on the light bulb and your page with the purple background is awesome. Kisses, my friend.
