homemade

A short post to share a journal page  at Art Journal Journey
and the theme Neet chose for us this month... Type
For the background I used an old letter and number stencil,
dropped paint onto the page that didn't go where I had hoped, so  it is still work in progress.
However with the aid of my digital computer program  I was able to create this page.

Layers and scraps  with different type fonts
made  what looks like a happy face to me.

Homemade Memories
Feelings are often hard to put into words but if we note or type those words they will be remembered for a very long time.

However you spend your day I hope it will be a happy one for you.

  1. This is a beautiful page, Yvonne, and I love the sunny colours, especially as it's cold, grey and wet here! Love the smiley face, great placement of the embellishments. Have a great, new week, stay safe!

  2. Such a happy page Yvonne with its sunshine colours. I love the subtle use of the script in the background - such a beautiful hand and the numbers and letters stencilled on top work perfectly.
I reminds me of a watch - especially as you have used 'time' as your definition from a dictionary. The stripes are the wristband and the circle is the face of the watch, enhanced by the pretty flowers. Love the swirls you have created, reminds me of cotton swirled across a canvas which is something I often do.
Thanks for another lovely entry for my theme at Art Journal Journey.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  3. This is a fantastic page Yvonne, and your dropped paint looks in the perfect place to me. Nice to add the clock over it as well as the other stamped images. And like Neet also mentioned, the colors are happy and perfect for August. Have a great start to the new week Yvonne. I hope all is well with you. Hugs-Erika

  4. I love the page. I wonder what more you will do to it. The background is great and I love your focal image. I did see the face right off. I wouldn’t even be able to guess where paint is that you didn’t want it to be. I think it’s a great abstract design. The color mix is awesome.

  5. I was delighted to see this thought provoking and poignant journal page. although it is sunny and bright, I love how you chose to focus on feelings and how they won't be lost if we write them down because they are on the page forever. Thanks for this beautiful journal entry you shared using Neet's theme at Art Journal Journey.
