'Have fun in the sun'
a journal page for Erika's theme ...... When its Hot
over at Art Journal Journey
This is how the base looked in my journal before I added the stamped and fussy cut little people.
The base was mop ups and stencils, I stamped the flowers into place then decided to fussy cut more flower heads as my first efforts at painting them turned out a dirty grey colour as it reacted with the base colours.
The sun rays and sun faces were added in the digital program I use.
Time for an afternoon cuppa
The espresso is brewed and I am waiting for the kettle to boil for tea.
Then I will be off to join in at
where each Tuesday we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
However you are spending your day I hope it will be a good one for you.
Stay safe.
Catching sunbeams is a reason to jump for joy. This page is fantastic (not only for my AJJ challenge) and made me smile Yvonne. And I noticed the Art by Marlene sun face. That packet is so many cool images for not a lot of cash, isn't it? Happy T day and enjoy some sunshine if you have. Hugs-Erika

such a cute journal page- just filled with happy! Love your tea mug. We don't drink espresso as it is too strong for us both anymore, but it's always tempting when I see it offered... happy T day!

ReplyDeleteLove your title! I did catch some of your sunshiny cheer and now having my tea! Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally back online. Thanks for joining this week's T party. Next week we will use Inlinkz because you can remove your link and start over again if you make a mistake Be sure to use ONLY your name in the "caption" and not your blog post, please.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the 3-D effect you got with those extra flower heads. Great idea, too. This is a great idea for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear Yvonne.
I'm always amazed at you British who drink tea all the time. Those electric kettles amaze me. I've never seen one, except in photos. We have ones that sit on burners on our stoves, so yours impresses me. Thanks for sharing both your espresso maker, your kettle, and your appropriate mugs with us for T this Tuesday.
Fabulous journal page and love the sunshine coming through.xx
ReplyDeleteThat's looking very bright, sunny and happy! I like the way you have added the sun's rays digitally.
ReplyDeleteGood old Russel and Hobbs! We no longer have an electric kettle, just one on the gas stove. (It was becoming so expensive. Our electricity is extortionate).
Have a good week,
Hugs,
Lisca

What a gorgeous sunny page. That is so Happy it makes me smile and feel good inside. Love how you did the background and the addition of the flowers and those two little "chappies" certainly make it a perfect page for Erika's challenge. Great Yvonne.
ReplyDeletehugs, Neet xx
I like the sound of that Yvonne, catching sunbeams whilst waiting for the kettle to boil raises a smile and gives me energy for a new day, something i've been lacking in recently. Beautiful flower of Tracy's matches well with your mop up background. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHugs Tracey xx
This is such a cute, happy page …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
so cut this page, very nice the kids how they look forward to the sun!
ReplyDeletegreetings Elke
Your kettle isn't as power-hungry as a large kitchen appliance like a fridge-freezer or boiler - but investing in an efficient kettle can save you energy and time whenever you boil the kettle, as well as a few pence a week. electric tea kettle
