Hello everyone who calls in to see me today.
I am sharing a hybrid journal page with you today, that I altered for Erika's
theme of 'In the sky/In the air over at
I will also be able to join in over at
where the theme is..... Just one Word
As you can see from the photos I changed the base colours and had fun
adding some digital additions [notes in my sidebar].
It was a stamped and mop up colour page.
The two birds on the wire are closely watching to see how far the steampunk balloon will fly.
I do think that the folk in it will be having a good day out in their flying machine.
.
The fun continued when I decided
that I must use this page.
What does the page look like in my journal now.
The dark rust shade. I never liked, so the result of how I covered that up you can see in this photo.
I used some scraps of papers, a bit of lace and a metal flower and a Finnabair sticker, the quote by Cesare Pavese. reads....
We do not remember days,
we remember moments.
Time does seem to fly, so remember to pause, take a breath and enjoy the moment.
Oh these are both fabulous pages Yvonne. I really like the big clock image. It is really cool. And it is interesting how your page and the digital page looks so different even though the image is the same. But your first page is perfect for AJJ and I love the clouds and balloon. Nice steampunk feel. Thanks so much for your support at AJJ. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFabulous pages, great to see the alterations, and time definitely does fly. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou certainly know how to get a lot of mileage out of your art, dear Yvonne. I am super impressed with all of these. Of course, I simply adore the hot air balloon you chose, and it gives me an idea for a spread of my own. It's a unique and fun entry using Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. I want to thank you for being so supportive of AJJ!
ReplyDeleteI love how you took a hybrid entry and turned it into a traditional journal page. I love that you turned this into a genuine mixed media beauty with the lace, scrap book pages, and flower, as well as the photo. It's a true beauty, dear.
I love both variations- the digital made and the handmade one! Both are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for joining AJJ and MM&M once again dear Yvonne!
I appreciate this a lot!
Happy start of the weekend for you!

What great pages Yvonne. Time is one of my fave themes (I still have the 'Time' themed altered jigsaw pieces we all did on Art N Soul Flickr group those many years ago - on a canvas hung proudly on my wall!) x
ReplyDeleteGorgous pages, Yvonne
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at MOO MANIA & MORE

These alterations are a super way to create so many different mood boards Yvonne, I love that sepia amidst the blue tone. The last with that strip of lace makes my heart sing along with that fab quote.
