Listen to the sounds of nature .....Diary week 19

Diary Day ....week 19

Have you ever just stood somewhere in the countryside and listened. the quietness is something special. But, after a while  start to hear, maybe a bird singing, a rustle of leaves in the hedgerow, a farmer with his tractor in the fields.
If we are lucky we may even see some of the wild life.
I am lucky to live close to open countryside. We have a local fox, the deer visit the wood and we have many feathered friends visit the garden.

I used pieces from a torn napkin  for my diary today, after coating the base with white gesso. I added  stencils as usual and a stamped  sentiment that I really  relate to.
'Seek stillness in your life
if only for a moment.

Thank you for calling in today,
 you are always welcome here.

This is a scheduled post as I wanted to keep sharing my diary on the same day each week.
I will add this page to Jo's theme of Flora and Fauna at
Art Journal Journey
when I can get an internet connection

  1. You have a fabulous napkin collection Yvonne. This one really makes a gorgeous page! I live i the country also, but it is woodlands here.I love it except for now when the oaks are letting out their pollen (augh-my allergies) and right now all the spring bugs that are out. We get the little black flies. UGH. I do LOVE your calendar page for the upcoming week. Happy almost weekend. Hugs-Erika

  10. A really beautiful page Yvonne and with the wildlife that you see, your lovely napkins were just perfect :)
Quietness to be able to listen to nature is very special as its often hard to find.
I like just before dawn for that, before most people are awake and its still and the birds starting to sing.
    Have a great weekend.

  12. I love the wildlife we see in our local woods & sometimes they even venture into the garden, rabbits are less than when we first arrived at the house which was a new build back in 1979 but the deer still visit and we get the odd fox, hedgehog or pheasant come wandering through as well as red squirrels. Enjoy the peace and quiet :-)
