Diary Day .... down in the woods.

Diary Day ........Week 20
I have a little woodland scene today for this weeks diary spread.
The page was shaded with distress inks. I then add my go to TH stencil of the flowers, some were embossed  and lightly smeared with gilding wax.

The animals were torn from this napkin..

I will also share this spread with the folk at
Art Journal Journey
and Jo's theme for the month of
Flora and Fauna.
Nunnington Hall in Yorkshire  is a National Trust House we visited last week.
I am sharing a few photos here as the gardens were quite magical with wild flower beds
 and early spring flowers blooming.

I will have more photos to share another day from  this trip to the Hall.
Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

  1. Wow your calender spreads really are art Yvonne - this one is so beautiful again and how super that you took a nature theme that fits AJJ as well! Thank you so much for another amazing entry, your support is wonderful! Nunnington Hall looks really like a fantastic and magical place to visit! Just enchanting! Thank you for taking me with you chairwise! I wish you a wonderful weekend dear Yvonne. We have sun again today so it will hopefully be a nice weekend out in the garden as well for me.

  2. I know your pages are not based on this but guess which song I'm singing and probably will be all day ...lol 😉 ... If you go down in the woods today, your sure for a big suprise .... Lol 😉. Your woodland animals look so at home on your beautiful pages and I love the quote you used too. Wow, those wild flower gardens do look magical, I bet if you look closely you may see a fairy or two. What a lovely place to explore! Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey and wishing you a Happy Friday, enjoy the sunny weekend too! J 😊 x

  3. Oh, I do like how your colours and flowers spread across the page, but leave plenty of white space for future growth - a really lovely page. And Nunnington looks stunning in your photos - that's exactly the sort of garden I'd love to have.

  6. I think I told you that you have a super napkin collection. This one is gorgeous and does make a beautiful addition for your calendar page. :) I love it. And I would like to visit Nunnington Hall. It looks like my kind of place-very pretty but not too formal, but enough not to be ragged or looking like a vacant lot. Thanks for sharing those photos. Hope you have a great start to your weekend. Hugs-Erika

  7. Your calendar pages always inspire me. This time, the napkin was put to great use, too. I have go-to tools I use, too, I just don't have any go-to stencils. I'm always glad to see your calendar pages, and they make me smile. It was great that you shared them with us at Art Journal Journey, too.

I've never heard of Nunnington Hall, but I've never heard of a lot of the beautiful old places you visit. This was especially charming because the grounds were stunning. Thanks for the lovely photos that made spring come to life on your blog today.
