Elsie.....She's got the look ......that needed a glass of wine

She's got the Look...... is the new challenge theme at
Try it on Tuesdays

We had fun with this theme and there are lots of wonderful inspiration pieces over at TioT's.
We hope you will join us there.

This is a digital/Hybrid card.
My own base layers then digital images added.
I find it really useful to make digital cards for friends who use  the internet.
As well as sending birthday wishes, it is good to just send as  a Random Act of Kindness
to show you care about them.

This is how Elsie looks in my digital journal, When I remember I try to keep a page as a reminder for myself, needless to say this is not often, as I get sidetracked and start creating something else in the digital programs
 I use [see my sidebar].

........................................................
........................................................................
As Elsie is rather partial to a glass of red wine, I am combing my post with my Tuesday visit to see friends over at
Bleubeard and Elizabeths
where T stands for Tuesday and  we are always made welcome with a drinks related post

Here is my cuppa and the photo I was about to play with in the computer,
it was far to early for wine.

I had read about and seen a technique on YTube
that involved an inked piece of string, pressed between two pages or paper and pulled out as they were firmly held together.

I might have had a better result if the page had been plain white to begin with, but the one I used had already been blotted and smudged with the same colour shades and there was some colour left to use.

Anyway the page got its hybrid make over and  this is how it turned out

Another lady with a certain look, but I think she could be much happier with  her floral headwear than Elsie would have been..

As I added lots of flowers and  the butterfly I will also  pop over to add this page to
 Art Journal Journey

and Jo's theme of Flora and Fauna

If the weekend has gone to plan I will be travelling home today so I will be catching up with everyone   much later tonight.

I'll leave you with these photos taken in a garden center  we visited recently. Isn't this a wonderful family gathering.

Thank you for calling in here and I hope you are all having a good day.

  13. Elsie is adorable and it appears she loves her wine. I also like the concept of age being just a number. Lovely idea for Random Acts, too.

As always, I guessed you would be drinking tea. I adore the mug and the little coaster it is sitting on, too. Very drink inspired!! Thanks for sharing both the lady and your tea with us for T this Tuesday.

Last Wednesday someone shared the FB link to that string technique, but because I'm not on FB, I couldn't see it. I had to guess how it was done, and I'm glad you shared it with us today. Your lady is beautiful and I was really impressed with how you incorporated it in your art. Thanks for linking it to Art Journal Journey, too, dear.

  16. Both of your wonderful pieces are amazing! I love that the lovely technique we learned at school makes just such a good starting point for your hybrid art! Have to do this again, I had never nice results I remember, but maybe now I am better with this string technique.Thank you for your inspiration! You are a real artist - you get inspired by everything .. and you find always a way to use backgrounds.... you never cease to amaze me with your art Yvonne!
No wine in the morning? ! Lol! Neither for me... just decaf or tea .. and lately I try to drink at least two glasses of warm water as my first liquid every morning - my try on a japanese water treatment- I will see if it brings something. Found it recently on YT.
This monkeys at the garden center look just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and thank you for sharing the beauty with the beautiful flowery hair dress at Art Journal Journey! You are one of the most supportive artists at AJJ!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You linked so many inspirational entries this May again! ♥
Happy T-Day - I love your fabulous mugs always and always on the left side of the keyboard! Lol!
I change sometime. Just now my pot of tea is on the left and the cup on the right.
But this is just as no art project is here on the table.
Had a very busy day with boring housework.
I am also looking forward to photos of the Range Rover competition. I hope you have some for us soon!
Happy T-Day, AJJ, TioT and happy creative rest of the week for you!
    Big hugs,
    Susi

  19. Both these ladies are quite striking. Lovely pages, Yvonne. Maybe it's because I just came from CJ's post about hand lettering the names onto many diplomas, but your string pull effect looks like a furled piece of paper like a diploma - lol.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
