There is super new theme for December over at
Sheila has chosen ''Lets Celebrate''.
This began with a mop up page in my 8 x 8 inch journal. Next, I used this pretty robin napkin.
I have to add a bit of background story here as to what was going on in my head.
I had been watching the birds in the garden this morning . There was a heavy frost and everywhere was white. We had a robin sitting in the berry bush when another turned up close by, they seemed to be communicating and slowly came closer together. So maybe our birds have similar friendships to us and can share the winter berries, celebrating natures bounty.
I wonder.....................if the mice think the same.
Thank you for calling in to see me today,
you are always welcome here.

Oh I love this page Yvonne! The background is beautiful, the pinks and yellows are so pretty! You always find the most amazing napkins, the ones I've seen always have big polka dots or chevrons on them!! My favourite are the mice exchanging secrets under the branch, what a sweet scene! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just fantastic Yvonne. Love everything about it. x
ReplyDeleteThis looks so beautiful dear Yvonne! This robin napkin is really a fantastic thing to have - I want to use it for something specially - maybe putting it on fabric?! I will see! A fantastic page for the Let's Celebrate theme! Thank you ! Have a great Sunday!

Gorgeous journal page, love the robin. It's cold and foggy here, so good weather for staying home. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat is really lovely, Yvonne. The robin is such a friendly bird, we always say hello to any robin and they look back at us instead of flying off like other birds. So nice to think robins have robin friends too.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful winter birds Yvonne. I think they are your robins? It's a great image and a perfect way to celebrate winter. Happy rest of your Sunday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYou find the most beautiful napkins, Yvonne. And now that I know what a mop-up page is, I can truly appreciate the beauty of this page.
ReplyDeleteI adored reading the back story and what you were thinking when you made this beautiful art for Sheila's challenge at Art Journal Journey. It's a wonderful entry. Thanks for joining us with your beautiful robin at Art Journal Journey.

ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful page Yvonne, your birdies are very sweet. I like watching birds, it amazes me how such a small frail looking animal survives out in the cold.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love him... and the tale of your two robins in the garden - lovely wintry page.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful page and back story! I love robins and this image is beautiful, it reminds me of the Christmas cards from my mum and dad 😁. My mum does cross stitch embroidery and always sews us a robin card for Christmas, I have quite a few on display as I put every one of them up every year ...lol 😉. Thanks for the smiles and wishing you a happy week! J 😊
