This is the tag I made for
and the current theme of Christmas Memories
On the left you can see my starting point for today's tag and page.
The tag was added to a corrugated card base .
Both pieces were completed in the digital computer program I use [notes in my sidebar].
A distress ink background with a tiny bit of embossing .
A stamped snowman and a couple of found relative pieces.
Torn paper strips for the snow across the bottom.
When I saw these two boys I was immediately taken back to when my boys were small, They loved the snow and making snowmen in the garden. Woolie hats , warm, clothes and mittens. The difference would with these two would be the footwear, wellies were the choice as shoes were of no use for the snowy ground.
I used the same starting point for this digital journal page,
which I will add to Sheila's theme.....Lets celebrate..... over at
Thank you for calling in today at this busy time of the year.
I went for a last grocery shop for some vegetables and fruit, this morning, it was unbelievable the number of folk in the store.
Leaving the car park was worse ,that was a traffic jam in itself, it took 25 minutes
to get on to the road.
Happy Holidays!!
You never cease to amaze me --- not just a fantastic tag but even a page made with so much love!
ReplyDeleteBoth looks amazing!
I can imagine that you thought of your own boys as you created the page with those two lovely vintage winter boys!
Wonderful work dear Yvonne!
Thank you for all your artsy support for the challenges!
I really appreciate your help and supportive friendship!

ReplyDeleteThat's what it looks like here today. The snow is coming down quite hard and it really feels like Christmas. :) Love your tag and the page you showed us today too. Those boys look so excited for the snow! Happy Christmas Yvonne. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to amaze me, dear Yvonne. Your beautiful tag, with the two little boys, is fabulous. I'm super impressed. But I'm also impressed that you carried that onto an art journal page. It's a wonderful entry and fits Sheila's theme perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI am just delighted that you were so supportive of all the artists at Art Journal Journey this year, and that you stepped in to save the day as host in September, too. You are a gem, and your art, attitude, and caring are greatly appreciated by me (and Susi, too). Have a joyous Christmas and stay warm, safe, and healthy, dear friend.
That is astonishing how you used your tag to make this stunning winter scene and I have never seen a happier snowman. It's a really lovely scene with the fluffy snow falling in the forest. Thanks a lot for linking this to the Celebration at AJJ and thanks for all your other entries too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas week!
I love how you created the journal page from the tag - amazing! Those snow laden trees and snowfall create such a beautiful wintery scene, I love it 😁. I know what you mean about the shops being busy, we did the same this morning and it was so busy despite getting there early it seems everyone had the same idea ...lol 😉. It's nice to be ready for Christmas though with all the food shop completed and the housework was all done today too which makes me very happy 😁. Happy Holidays and wishing you a wonderful Christmas filled with love and joy! J 😊
