These words by Maya Angelou got me thinking of our troubled world.
Lets hope that in the coming year, those that live in fear, strife and darkness,
will find the hope and peace that they all deserve.
I am also just in time to join the folk over at
Take a Word
where the theme this week is..... Lights
Happy New Year wishes everyone, I hope 2017 will be kind for you all.

Not sure you knew this. Maya Angelou lived in Wichita, KS for many years before moving to bigger and better cities. Her brother still lives here and shared stories of her life with us in the local newspaper. We even have a library named for her, which she dedicated. So this quote was especially poignant for me.
ReplyDeleteThe way you illustrated the quote was incredible. You are such an accomplished artist. Have an enjoyable and safe holiday. Here's to more good times in 2017.
