Can you feel the love tonight? for AJJ

A digital page created using my own backgrounds,
found images and from Mischief Circus kits.
The theme  over at Art journal Journey  for this month is....
For the Record...Inspired by a song.
Its a super theme and has had me thinking about a number of songs I have liked
 and loved over the years.
So this page was inspired by an Elton John  song from the The Lion King.

Can you feel the love tonight ?
The peace the evening brings
The world for once in perfect harmony
With all its living things.

I can so relate to this chorus verse, especially when you read in the press
about the violence and unrest in parts of our  world.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today.
The comments you leave me are always appreciated.

  15. It's a song I love and I'd watched the Gordon Buchanan documentary on Saturday evening (repeat) where he was in the kalahari with the bushmen & the closing shot was a lion cub lying on its mum....this reminded of how much I enjoyed the program!

  18. HMMM! I'm a huge Elton John fan, but I've never seen The Lion King, so I'm not familiar with that song. BUT, I agree with something you said recently. We seldom know the history of places we don't live, but with 24/7 news streaming into our homes, we are very aware of current events and how they affect our own lives regardless where we live.

I am SO in awe of this page and am really grateful to read your thoughts on what brought you to this song.

  23. Yvonne.....This is beautiful. You are so creative. It really pulls at the old heartstrings...the words and the artisic work. Go back and look at my beach post. I just found the old Poloroids of us on the beach that day. Boy, have we changed. Poor, Weezie...she is in a nursing home crippled from RA and strokes. Me....I just weigh a wee bit more and white haired :-) Just thought you would get a kick out of see the old pictures of all of us. My Mattie is the little blond. She and Vickie are still best friends, too. Thanks so much for your visits. Hugs....G
