Another journal spread for Art Journal Journey
where Chrissie is hosing this months theme of Winter Wonderland.
On the left is how my pages began. Using a variety of stamps and stencils and a die cut lamp posts, coloured with distress inks and pencils.
The stencilled snowflakes were smeared with gilding wax when the paste dried out.
So photo taken off into the computer to add some digital extras, first of all making the shades of blue a little deeper.
Horace and Martha looked a bit lonely, so I decided that what what they needed was a couple of children and a dog. now their loving family was complete, lets hope their '' love doesn't melt''.
Thank you for calling to see me today,
I always appreciate the time you take to leave me a comment.
...would be wonderful, if this would be like this in every family!

ReplyDeleteI've never heard of gilding wax before, so that is something new to me. I like the effect it gives, though. As always, I love the back story you weave into your art, as well as the quote. This was fun, and I hope the snow family can stay frozen in time.
