Call of the wild.

A mixed media piece  today but not using my usual type of base layer

This time I used one of my cross stitch  pictures, which is currently on display in my dinning room.

It was hard to get a photo as it is behind glass and stretched to fit the frame.

If you look real close there is a reflection of me

 with the camera.

I use my Craft Studio program to add the extras, some from Mischief Circus kits.

I am joining the folk over at Art Journal Journey again, for the Winter Wonderland theme hosted by Chrissie.

The snow family

Another journal spread for Art Journal Journey

where Chrissie is hosing this months theme of Winter Wonderland.

On the left is how my pages began. Using a variety of stamps and stencils and a die cut lamp posts, coloured with distress inks and pencils.

The stencilled snowflakes were smeared with gilding wax when the paste dried out.

So photo taken  off  into the computer to add some digital extras, first of all  making the shades of blue  a little deeper.

Horace and Martha looked a bit lonely, so I decided that what what they needed was a couple of children and a  dog. now their loving family was complete, lets hope their  '' love doesn't melt''.

Letters and Numbers for TioT's

The first challenge of the year over at Try it on Tuesdays

is ''Letters and Numbers''.

With the addition of this cute,' bear', one of Indigo Blu's stamps.

He looks as if he is still recovering from the New Year festivities.

The image was  water coloured and the additional shading was Vintage Photo distress ink.

I  sometimes Google free to use pictures, to use in my journal pages and had this one stored, from way back,

 so sorry  I cannot say where it came from.

Other additions were my own stored,  free to use images and some from a Mischief Circus kit.

Lots of blues in this page, but I think it does look wintery.

 I would even welcome some snow here, as  a change to all the rain we are getting in the U.K.
