Inspired by a Song or Christmas Carol at TioT's

The new challenge theme at Try it on Tuesdays is......
Inspired by a Song or Christmas Carol

The song that inspired me for this card  is.....
I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.
This theme helped me to get a few Christmas cards made. I used an old but favourite stamp image [no  maker  visible to refer to on it anymore]
I simple stamped onto plain white card and embossed with gold embossing powder.
It was layered onto a kraft card base and trimmed with a ribbon.

I hope you will join us and share your favourite songs or carols and hope you will pop over to see what the team have all been making.

Chocolate time

Hello to everyone who calls in to see me today and to  the folk from
where each Tuesday we are always made to feel very welcome with a drinks related post

My cuppa of choice was not the mug of frothy chocolate that you can see in the first photo....

Yes you would guess....... it is a mug of tea
.It is 12 o clock mid day as I wrote the post and it is so grey and dark outside it could be evening.
I have a few scheduled posts this week so I have my fingers crossed that it may be a bit brighter outside  as the week goes by.

I posed myself a question as I created this journal page  Are coffee beans fruits or vegetables.
This is what Wikipedia has to say on the subject

 Is coffee a fruit?
according to this link.... yes
Are coffee beans vegetable?....... I don't have the time to or inclination to link you to all the answers I found on the net to this question.. So I will leave it up to you all to make up your own minds on this subject.

I will link my page to
as along with my drink, a variety of fruit and a few coffee beans
, it will fit Rike's theme of Fruits  and Veggies.

Thank you for stopping by
and however you spend your day
I hope it will be a good one for you.

Cats

I have  had been enjoying some cleaner crafting yesterday evening
with my feet up and the laptop computer on my knee,
creating these digital tags for  Wendy's theme....
Cats
over at Tag Tuesday

I showed my  favourite first,
I collected so many images I wanted to use that I ended up creating three tags.
It was a good job we were recording the  episode of a serial on TV,. that I had intended to see..
time does fly when having fun.
I will get to watch it   later today.

Thank you for calling in your visits are always appreciated.

Notes about my digital pieces

The morning cuppa

Hello everyone who stops by to see me today
and friends from Bleubeard and Elizabeths where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post on Tuesdays.

The mug of tea was to hand on my desk and I did manage to get a  hands on crafty session  as well as a computer crafty  digital play. I think I would have enjoyed a lemon  cup cake with my tea that morning, but less calories were involved when using digital programs.

I had a stencil background to use, yes it looks  a bit messy, but that is the  usual state  of many pages in my journal I fussy cut the critter, who  is clutching the cuppa.

I can relate to this new stamp image I purchased recently and the words.
I am no good without a couple of large mugs  full of tea before I start my day.

Challenges
I am adding my apologies to the folk at AEDM,
my plans to join in each day have gone AWOL
I am a few days missing,
I have good intentions.......  but the days turn up with other plans for me.

I will also add my digital journal page to Rike's theme... Fruit and Veggies
at Art Journal Journey. Fresh lemon slices in a cup of tea is a refreshing lift me up at any time of the day.

Whats for tea?

The Veggie kids are back and they want to know whats for tea.
Another digital page for Rike's theme of........... Fruit and Veggies over at
Looking at the choices of  produce I think I would make tomato soup and apple crumble for pudding.

I will also call in at AEDM
 where it's day 14.
I am missing a few days already this month,  so my apologies and who knows I may catch up as the month passes by. Yesterday I was stamping out a few toppers for Christmas cards.
This would have been my entry for.........
 Day 13

Thank you for stopping by,
however you spend your day I hope it will be a good one for you.

Cold. cold. cold at TioT's

Its ..........Cold, Cold, Cold.
A winter theme for the challenge , we wonder how you will interpret this topic , we had fun, please pop over to see what we made and we hope you will join us there.

I have created a winter scene in my digital journal. It won't be long before we get winter snow, everything seems calm  in the countryside, but thoughts should be spared for the animals who find a way through the winter in some awful conditions
. We are so lucky to have our warm homes.

Thank you for calling in today,
you are always very welcome here.
I will also be joining in at......
AEDM day 12

Tuesday is Tea Day

I sometimes watch TV in my craftroom, another reason why the cup of tea often goes cold before I get round to drinking it.
Remembrance day has been on our news programs and the events that are supported here in the UK. One program I  try to watch is the Memorial Service at the Cenotaph in London.[On Sunday] I tried to take a few photos to share.
You can see that my portable TV sits on the shelf, surrounded by my craft stuff.
The Queen now watches from the balcony of the nearest building with  other members of the Royal family. Prince Charles lays her wreath  before his own.

Ten of thousands of people attend this service   each year.
We continue to remember, these brave men and women.
.....................................
..........................................

Hello everyone  who calls in to see me today,
my Tday cup was in the first photo,
I also want to thank you for the tips you gave me on which glues to use for sticking down napkins
last week. I will let you know how I get on  I get round to ordering   a new to me glue. As I said last time I still have a scraping left in the pot.

I have another fun page with the Veggie kids to share with you

They have picked out quite a quantity of fruit this week.
We are encouraged to eat 5 potions of fruit and vegetables a day,
it looks like they have enough to last them quite  few days.

I will be joining.......
Art Journal Journey and Rike's theme of  Fruit and Veggies

However you spend today,
I hope it will be a good one for you all

Remembrance Sunday

Its Remembrance Sunday here in the UK
A day to reflect and remember the brave men and women
from all the countries in our world.
Throughout the years, past and in present times,
 they have served their countries
and given their lives for the freedom and safety of others.

We will always remember them.

Seeds of life.

I have made this tag with the theme over at Tag Tuesday in mind...
Seeds and Plants.

When walking in the countryside it is easy to spot the seeds that have fallen from the trees and the berries on the bushes. A feast for the wild animals in autumn and winter and the promise of new life for the coming year.
This digital tag today is is  also  my piece for  for Day 9 at

Thank you for calling in today, you are always very welcome here.

Two days for AEDM

Day 7
 for AEDM

I didn't get to post these pieces yesterday, the light was so poor in the afternoon for photos.
Both involved paint, stencils and stamps and very inky fingers.

Day 8
for AEDM
I decided today.... to blend both the pieces together in the digital program I use.
This meant that I could show all of one of the stamped images  and have bit computer [clean hands] play altering the smaller piece.

Thank you for calling intoday, I hope you are having a good day.

Do mice eat mushrooms?

This is  my digital page for AEDM

Day 6
Once again I have used one of my own hands on  painted and mop up colour backgrounds
before adding the other images in the digital program I use
I  used lots of autumn colours and wonder if the little mouse is looking around for something to eat.
I do know[ after an internet search]  that wood mice would eat some edible fungi.
It is amazing that they would know which ones were poison and which ones  could be eaten.

I will also be linking this page to Art Journal Journey
where  Rike's theme for this month is Fruit and Veggies

                                           and
add a reminder for the current Try it on Tuesdays theme
The colours of Autumn

Thank you for calling in today,
your visit is very much appreciated.

Tea day and Christmas

Hello everyone who calls in to see me .
its Tuesday and its T day over at

where we are always made very welcome with a drinks related post.
I hope I don't give you a shock today
as I have actually made my first Christmas card of the year.

I cleared a small space on my desk, made a mug of tea, found  a napkin stored from last year  with a sweet robin perched on a branch.. All I needed was the patience to wait until the tissue dried after sticking it to card, the I layered it up onto a kraft card base. I didn't use the glue to stick the napkin that you can see in this photo, I used Pebeo Bindex its a well used pot with just a scraping left in the bottom, I will have to replace this soon.
Can anyone suggest a product that will stick tissue down?

I will be linking  to Day 5 over at
However you spend your day,
I hope it will be a good one for you.

What shall we eat today

What shall we eat today?
Vegetable soup would be my reply.
I have another digital page  to share today  [information in my side bar]
My piece for Day 4  for ..... Art Every Day Month

When I was creating this page I  had  in mind Rike's theme for the month....
Fruit and veggies
This topic does have me out of my comfort zone, but I am enjoying the challenge.

Thank you for calling in your comments are always appreciated.

Colourful autumn

My art piece today is a digital autumn tag,
t may be getting colder where I live but the colours of autumn are still sharing their beauty in the woodlands close to my home.

I have still time to join the last challenge theme at Tag Tuesdays,
where Valerie has chosen an Anything Goes theme.

Thank you for calling in today, you are always welcome here.

Season's change

Season's change  and  each bring their own kind of beauty.
We wish for warmer weather in the winter and cooler in the summer, however it would be good to stop and think for a while and live in the moment of what the day brings us.
For this page I have used the earthy colours of autumn, browns and rust. Dull shades  for some but for me they represent the earth preparing to rest  during the winter to gather strength  and prepare for  Spring next year.

I will be joining in again at

Thank you for stopping by, you are very welcome here.

Watching

Well here we are  nearing the end of the year, where has the time  gone.
I am going to try to join the folk at Art Every Day Month  again this year.
I may be a bit optimistic as not everything goes to plan as we would like it to,
but  the good intentions are there and I apologize in advance if I have to miss a day.

I have no plans  , I will 'go with the flow' this month and see where where art will take me.

\My first piece  began began in my journal with an autumn coloured base [ on the left]
I have already altered this page  in my digital program once already , but the colours lend themselves so well to the autumn season I decided to  give it another makeover.......

This is the result.................

Thank you for calling in, your visit is really appreciated.

I will also share this page over at Art Journal Journey
where Rike is hosting the new theme  for this month....
Fruit and Vegetables
