A garden guest

Another snowy and frosty week here,
just the kind of days when you want to stay home and keep warm.
I did try to have a bit of a tidy up in my craft room, but  came across this napkin with the robin on the spade handle and the tidy up was history.

Napkin stuck in place first, some background shading and then a bit of random stamping.
The quote is computer generated, it is one I had saved
and I am sorry I cannot remember where I found it.

Maybe the quote doesn't quite go with the  robin, but it conveyed to me that,
in making this page I had started doing one thing [the tidy up]
and ended doing something that appealed to me more.

I will be joining the folk at

and Erika's theme....New Year, New Adventures..
Thank you for stopping by to see me today.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

  2. That happens so often to me as well.... you brought a smile on my face!
And this page was worth being untidy.
    So utterly beautiful!
Have a nice evening Yvonne! Thank you for stopping the tidy up and creating this wonderful entry for AJJ instead! WELL DONE!
ART JOURNALING comes way ahead of tidying up in the dictionary!

  3. You find the BEST napkins, Yvonne and it was well worth putting off the cleaning until you made this beautiful entry that was simply PERFECT for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey. And the quote is incredibly beautiful, and exactly what I would envision for Art Journal Journey this month. It's a true gem, and I love what Susi said about the dictionary, too!

  8. Oh! I am with you here! I have given up on the tidying of my craft room until the weather (and light) improves! Your page is wonderful and in my books the Robin is perfect for that quote, as on one of the paths at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve there is always a Robin that goes along the path a few steps ahead of us! Enjoy the remainder of the weekend! Chrisx

  10. Wow, what a gorgeous page and a favourite of mine with the blue background and that beautiful robin! The layers of napkin and stamps that you used add such wonderful texture and detail to the background too 😁. The lovely circle and feathers stamps caught my eye, and the quote is perfect - I'm loving how it portrays you starting one thing and ending up doing something else πŸ˜€. Mmm, let me think tidying up or crafting ... there's no competition, it would be crafting everytime...lol πŸ˜‰. Happy weekend! J 😊

  12. Hi Yvonne. I think the quote is perfect with that pretty robin. That was a great cleaning find. :) And I really like the quote. I think that little robin is trying to have an adventure, even if it is just finding a warm place to snuggle up in for the night. The stamped designs are beautiful too and make a great addition. Hope you've had a great weekend. I can't believe it's already just about Monday. :) Hugs-Erika
