Fire and Ice .....
Hot or Cold Colours.
I chose to use Hot Colours on this card today.
Please pop over to TioT's to see how we all interpreted this theme.
The poppy stamp [Sheena Douglas] is water coloured.
I used distress inks to colour the immediate background.
The coloured layer is one of my own printed out papers.
A few trimmings came from my stash and now I have a simple card, that was quite quick to make which may suit a few occasions.
This is the same card with the colour changed digitally to 'cold blues'.
The red poppy card will be used for a friends Birthday. Fortunately they don't blog so I am safe to share it here.
The blue poppy I altered, just for fun. I have kept a copy of both on the computer
for future reference.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us over at TioT's with your interpretation of this theme.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! The stamped and watercoloured poppy looks so pretty with the ribbon and Distress Ink background 😁. Although I'm loving your digital mastery and I'm drawn to the 'cold blues' with blue being my favourite colour ...lol 😉. Wishing you a happy and creative week! J 😊
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Yvonne, the poppy looks stunning in red and the blue.

These are both beautiful cards, but I think I like the red poppy best. Maybe because it's so cold here and the blue poppy makes me feel chilly when I look at it. This is a beautiful card, though, and I think hot is winning.
ReplyDeleteFantastic take on our theme Yvonne! The poppy looks great both in red and blue.

What a glorious poppy - magnificent in red and moody in blue. The capability to alter digitally really came into its own here - hot and cold all in one go.
