Summer mornings.

Digital  journal pages today to share over at

where there is still a few more days for me to join  in with Bleubeard and Elizabeth's
 fantastic theme of Summer Love.

This first one had me thinking of a misty summer morning ,
when the sun is trying is best to break through the haze.
We live close to the River Tyne and often the valley is hidden by mists and low clouds ,
a scene perhaps we take for granted as we know it doesn't last for long.

My hazy summer sunshine has moved a few hundred miles
and taken me on a trip to Paris for this next page.
Its many years since I visited this city, but it was summer time and I loved the trip.

Thank you for calling in today to see me, your visit is always appreciated.

Digital information  can
be found in my sidebar.

  1. I love the simplicity of the colours on your misty summer morning piece, it looks such a tranquil and relaxing scene - beautiful! "Oh là là" how wonderful to have visited Paris in the summertime and your vintage page is so very pretty and a great way to remember your trip. I remember Paris fondly too, we went in springtime some years ago and had a fantastic time 😀. Thanks for the memories and enjoy your week! J 😊

  4. Both of these journal pages are fantastic, Yvonne. I live near two rivers, but we never see that beautiful mist you captured in your art and spoke of as taken for granted. Of course, who doesn't love Paris. Equally lovely, it is a place I can only hope to visit one day. Thank you for sharing both these beautiful entries at Art Journal Journey. I can tell they were truly made with summertime love.

  5. Both pages are wonderful. I think the first one is my fave, because it reminds me of the morning mists here that I so love, but they are both really gorgeous. A trip to Paris right now wouldn't be bad at all! In our fantasy and art we can go wherever we want to. Have a lovely day, hugs, Valerie

  15. Well, the first one just made me heave a deep sigh of relief and pleasure - such stillness, serenity and beauty received - thank you! I really love the misty sunshine nostalgia of the second one too... how I'd love to visit Paris then rather than now - I wouldn't mind traffic if it looked like that!
