A hybrid journal page today for Art Journal Journey
and Rosie's theme of..... Circles.
We have been having some super warm sunny weather here in the U.K. these past few days,
so I thought I would take a trip to the sea side.
I have some very happy memories of days at the beach when I was young and also with my own boys. My Gran always wore some sort of hat and never left home without her coat.
How times change.
The page started off with a piece of a napkin.
I do like using them as a starting point and they seem to create there own texture.
Some colouring came next using oxide inks.
I drew in some circles so I could place my found relatives image leaving space in the circles free to add some words later.
The wording, and a few extras were added using my digital program [notes in my side bar].
Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated.
Wonderful journal page, I would love to be by the sea just now, but I would leave my coat at home, it' too hot! People did use to always dress 'properly', that's true. Have a good week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWow, a wonderful journal side.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at ART JOURNAL JOURNEY
This is a fabulous AJP, love this.x [aNNie]
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing page - I love your clever process always! Yes people were very strict with their wardrobe in the past - my father in law always wore a hat and even a jacket at the height of summer .
ReplyDeleteHappy start into the new week dear Yvonne! Thanks a lot for sharing the page and the lovely memories with us at Art Journal Journey! Much appreciated to see your wonderful art there!

I really MUST get my napkins out and look them over. You seem to come up with the most awesome backgrounds when you do. They provide great texture and add just the right amount of beauty and color, too.
ReplyDeleteLove, love this page - gentle colour tones and that slightly bitter-sweet nostalgic air about it. Beautiful!
