An apple for the teacher at AJJ

I'm back to school again today and making sure there is an apple
for the teacher in my school bag.
This spread is for
and Bleubeard and Elizabeths theme of........... Back to School

This is the beginnings of  one of the pages.
Spray inks, Stencils.
Cut out counters and a little background number stamping.

After the photo was taken
I added some extra digital additions.

I think you may guess from these basic pages , that early years education is very special to me.
I did spend many years working with  children .
who needed extra help with their learning.
Visual methods , when  counting, helped them a lot.

The other side of the page is mostly digital using
free to use images found with a Google search., but it is my own photograph of a textured, coloured, background.

Thank you for calling into see me today, you are very welcome.

  1. Brilliant hybrid page Yvonne. Love your stencilled and spray background.
A great method for learning - things always seem easier to grasp when they're made more fun.

  2. Both sides of this spread are marvelous. I was so, so impressed with the background of the fish side. And of course, it was fun to see it, too. I am one of very few people who never got to read Dr. Seuss, but I sure love him now.

Your addition gets an A +. Very cute, adorable, and quite clever how you demonstrate your counting skills. Way to go, Yvonne. Your entry goes to the head of the class!

  3. Wonderful spread, in both variations, and a lot of kids need visual help with learning. I spent many years with special needs kids, too. And I often got apples or cake or flowers from my pupils! Thanks again for another wonderful spread for AJJ, and have a great weekend. Just got back from an outing here, so need to put my big feet up for an hour! Hugs, Valerie

  4. I feel like I am kid looking at this spread Yvonne. I love it. I loved the Dr. Seuss book- actually the only Dr. Seuss that used to scare me was the Cat in the Hat. But the other are so good I still have mine! Hope its a great weekend. Hugs-Erika
