The folk at Art Journal Journey announced the theme for May this morning......
I had already started a few pages in my journal, to try out some new Tim Holtz stamps, when I read the new theme.
We love the country side as a destination, especially when we go away in the caravan. We are also lucky not to live in a town,. So . I found a few snippets I'd saved, a piece of an old map and some animals. Stencils to add a bit of interest and extra colour.
I am trying to keep my pages a little less crowded, but don't think this resolution will last very long.
Thank you for stopping by to see me today.
Your comments are always appreciated.
I love this. I have been wanting those new stamps. Now that I can see them used it makes me want them even more. I love how you added in the photos of the animals. Yes, we all love a visit to the country. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLove your journal page, I think he is reflecting on his past travels. We have sadly had to give up on our caravan holidays, its sitting on the drive waiting for a buyer ! Luckily, like you, we live in the countryside so I still have the fields and animals to view from my windows.

I really like any page that has a map on it. This is simply incredible. I wish I lived in the country, but I live in the largest city in the state (Kansas in the US). Your life much be so much more enriched because of your location, and I really like the look of this layout. Have a fantastic day and week, dear Yvonne.
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal spread Yvonne, love the stamps and images you have used. Thanks for joining us again at AJJ, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteJust BEAUTIFUL Yvonne! Perfect! I know what you mean by -- less crowded .... same to my pages often.. in the end I can't stop layering and adding things...lol!

A wonderful spread, I love how you've use Tim's new stamps. Although I live in a town I'm just a few minutes drive away from the countryside and we have some lovely parks, a couple have been turned into nature reserves - I have some lovely walks with the dogs.

Crowded or uncrowded whatever you design is always perfect and I think you should go with what you feel and not restrict yourself as the end result is always perfect. How lucky not to live in a town, btw love the use of the maps.
