Is he for me?

The Cheeky Challenge theme  over at Dezinaworld this week is
Rich Man/Woman.

We had our first snow of the winter this afternoon,
so what better way to escape and go create a digital journal page.
I used images from Dezinaworld and Mischief Circus kits
and some of my own stored and free image.
Those of you who visit me often know I often have a story buzzing around my head as  my pages progress.
This is no exception.

What if money grew on trees and a girl could ask  for a new car  because she had seen a colour she liked.
Phew, what a life and not for me.
Anyway Olive did just that,  but ,
James being very much in love decided to buy her a tame lion as well.
No one else in their town had one and she had liked the animals when they went on Safari last month.
Olive  has issues, like, is it friendly, where will she keep it.
is it house trained, what does it eat.
I think James has gone a step too far this time, his smile soon will go,
as she insists the lion  goes back and he gets a refund..

Will they ever find happiness?
For me that is something money cannot buy.

I also would like to join in over at Art Journal Journey again
The theme is Collage with Journalling.

Thank you for calling to see me today,
I always appreciate the comments you leave for me

  1. So fabulous.... the digital art and the story!
James has bitten off more than he can chew with Olive lol, definitely a High Maintenance type of gal!!!
We've already had our first snowfall, recently it's been more about the storm winds and rain, nothing compared to some parts of England.

  5. Before I even read a word, I wondered what story you had conjured up to go with this cute scene. I especially liked the money tree. You've created an adorable story, too. A good lesson that money will never buy happiness. I hope they are able to work it out!

    Great page and beautiful art.

  12. A great page and story, I think the lion is probably a gift too far. The money tree looks fun but I agree that no amount of money can buy real happiness.

  14. What a couple they are. Olive seems a little shallow and so I wonder how long they will last. Love your choices of images though. I could use that money tree even though I'm not someone who is really about money. But it would be fun to get something crazy for everyone for Christmas this year. Enjoy your day!

  20. Oh dear! Well, I suggest James hightails it out of there - such an ungrateful creature as Olive is - and brings the lion over here to me... I'd far sooner have the lion than the car, to be honest. "Simply marvellous page, dahhhling," (just seems right for the period!) - and a great story to go with it!

  21. I love your story! The money tree seems to have caused a problem rather than ease them though! Chrisx
