Its All Hallows Eve and Madame Skeletonia is taking a walk at the witching hour.
Not sure I would like to meet her on a dark and stormy night.
This mixed media page was photographed, then I took it into a digital program
to add the splashes and border
The first layers to this journal page were water colour washes .
Next the background stamps with the main image stamped onto tissue. Indigo Blu and Stampendous [the skeleton lady]
Only a little Black Soot distress ink shading at this stage.
The next stage was to add some texture using
stencils and paste,
the web was a Tim Holtz stencil.
When dry I added a few spider webs and words [Chocolate Baroque stamps]
Built up the colours with Distress inks, Black Soot, Peeled Paint.
Finally covering the textures area with White Fire Treasure Gold.
I wasn't sure which version I liked so decided to show you both.

ReplyDeleteI don't think I would like to be there with Madame Skeletonia having her little walk and a person lurking in the background, too frightening!
Oh Yvonne, I like both versions, but the second one is a bit more scary. The layers really show in the second one, too. I'm with you. I don't want to meet Madame Skeletonia in a dark alley or even walking down the street.
ReplyDeletePerfect fright night page Yvonne. I wouldn't want to run into her either!!
ReplyDeleteMme Skeletonia is delicious in all her layers! But not very scary.....that would have to be snakes & large hairy spiders!
