Birds of a Feather drink tea together.

Its Tuesday again and time for me to call in at
Bleubeard and Elizabeths and share my cuppa  on
T day

We have had some very frosty then dull  days here this past week.
So decided that writing the Christmas cards for posting should be one of my first tasks.

I found my posting size guide. very necessary as the stamp price, is relevant to the size, thickness and weight of the card.
Notice Mr Robin  was to hand to keep me happy in the task.
Oh dear,  what I expected, happened, I really need to make a few more.......
Did I make get on making them. no chance, I needed to get back to some semblance of what can be called normal for an hour or so.
I began this   journal page for
theme at
''Light and Darkness''.
As  I have two birds enjoying a cuppa and discussing how they like their tea served.
Will it be dark and strong the way I like it. or light coloured, with milk in it.

Did I go back to making the cards....NO...
the next day, we went off to the Farm shop  to do a bit of shopping.

It looked quite festive with the fresh fir trees outside and the lights twinkling

It has a few artisan shops , in the converted barns as well

The sheep  outside, were not for sale.

Of course I didn't forget to get a photo of the plastic, life size cows just inside the entrance..
Its good to see the look on people's faces as they drive past to the car park, I wonder how many of them, at first, think they are real.

Update on the card making, they are all written and ready to post.

Thank you for calling in to visit with me today,
you are very welcome here.

My post for Try it on Tuesdays will follow on soon.

  1. I LOVE that wonderful journal page, what a great idea with the various birds coming together for tea! Thanks for joining us at AJJ again, much appreciated, and happy T Day! Hugs, Valerie

  2. What a fantastic page Yvonne ! I am thrilles about it!
Thank you for linking again to AJJ!
Happy T-Day - the farm shop looks interesting and I hope you will get all your christmas cards done without stress. I don't write christmas cards - too much work- I am lazy!

  3. Love the cows there are some at the little museum in Hornsea that are similar to those.

    Beautiful robin mug as well

    Have a happy T day

    Love Chrissie xx

  4. Your journal page is fantastic. I adore it. It is perfect for T, too. I want to know where you got your size guide. I need one of those. TRULY!!! I should probably make one, instead of getting out my calipers and trying to measure that way.

I have all my cards and tip-ins completed, but most are still sitting, waiting for me to get off my duff and get postage stamps for them. You are SO far ahead of me!

Again, I love the light and dark tea, and of course, your adorable robin mug, too. The Farm shop was very festive. I can see why you would want to go there. Yes, the cows were very realistic.

Thanks for sharing the AJJ page, the Farm shop, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday.

  5. Great journal page. I love the quote...very fun!!!! And I do the same thing with Christmas cards. Most years I put them off so long none ever get sent. :) That looks like a great garden center. I thought for a moment those sheep were real, well maybe they are.:) Happy T Day Yvonne. Hugs-Erika

  6. Cute journal page Yvonne. Love those buildings where you went shopping, and those cows are too fun! Congrats on getting your cards done!

  7. I love this fun page Yvonne! The farm shop looks a good place to visit to get you in a festive mood! Thank you for setting the example of getting your cards written ! Our tree is now up (the earliest we have ever done it!) and card writing is next! Hugs, Chrisx

  9. Hoooray for getting your cards done!!! It can be a difficult thing if your busy. What wonderful photos...those cows really do look real... Love the robin mug and your Art Journal page is sweet...nice to think of them chatting over tea... Happy happy Tday! Hugs! deb

  10. Lovely journal page. Nice job getting your cards done! I finally got my photo card designed so I just have to run to the store to get prints made. Happy T day!

  11. Such a cute idea for a journal page for AJJ and perfect for T-day too.
The plastic, life size cows are hilarious!
    Happy T-day

  12. Birds drinking tea together is a wonderful page. I like my tea with a splash of cream and a bit of sweetener. Good for you for getting your Christmas cards done and out the door. I had good intentions, but we know where that leads. (-; Thanks for the visit to the shop. Looks like a wonderful place to explore. Enjoy your day!

  13. I much prefer it when they convert old buildings. So often they are destroyed or left to go to ruin. This looks like a perfect re-use, animals and all ;) Happy T Tuesday :)

  14. I love your light and dark page, you are always so imaginative - using the birds and their habitats to depict the theme is genius - perfect! The farm and artisan shops are definately somehwere I would like to visit, they are so festive and it looks like you had loads of fun :-). Glad you got all your cards posted too ... lol :-). Happy T Day! J :-)

  15. What a great Tea card, very clever. It must have been fun to visit the farm. I always enjoy a place that has shops filled with hand made artistic items. Good for you for getting your cards done so early (it would be early for me anyhow)

  16. Fab project. Love how you used the birds. That looks a great place to shop although I think I might have had to kidnap those sheep! You do go to some lovely places.
    Hugs Flo x

  17. Love your journal page and the quote. What a clever way to make the page suit the "Light and Darkness" challenge as well. Great pictures of the farm shop. It looks like a fun place to visit.

  18. Love the art today ♥ I haven't done Christmas cards for a couple of years now. I miss doing it so may do a few juct for family this week.. maybe :) The Farm Shoppe looks lovely !!

  19. Congrats on getting your card-making done, despite the delays. Looks like a lovely farm shop, and those barns are very enticing with the promise of artisan shops inside. Your page is charming - what a lovely way to use those woodcuts - definitely tea for two.

  20. That farm shop collective looks very inviting, indeed. Did you find something nice? Or were you 'strong' and left without buying anything :) I admire you for handcrafting all your holiday cards. I would never have the time to do that. Hopefully I will be getting around to sending any at all this year... oh well

  21. Hi Meggymay, thanks for visiting me and sorry I am so late but at least I got here this time! Yes I am excited about meeting Luna, and scared too! She will be here on 31st Dec which seems ages to wait but at least the visitors will be all gone and the Christmas madness, so I can settle her down and house train her in peace - imagine that going on with a house full, if she didn't accidentally get let out or she got scared of so many people or two little people! I hate to think of her waiting, but it is for the best. Love your journal page and the plastic cows.
