Favourite Things.......
was the theme over at Art Journal Journey this month,
chosen by Erika.
Here we are at the end of the month and I have at last a journal page to add.
The starting point was this page with stamping and stencils, I added the stamp with the watering can and flowers and coloured them with water colour paints.
My crafting time has taken a back seat for many weeks/months.
Now I will be trying to do what my husband would have wanted me to .....
get out the paint, stamps, stencils
and get messy again..
Sadly he lost his struggle with cancer and other complications in mid December,
we miss him so much but are content that he is at rest.
Thank you for calling in, I hope to get back to visiting with you all soon.
One day at a time
Take care and stay safe.
Wonderful journal page, Yvonne, and it's so good to see you posting again! I know that you have been through very hard times lately, and hope that crafting and journaling will help you. Big hugs, Valerie

Yes, I think your husband would want you to find some joy in crafting. You certainly made a gorgeous page, and it is perfect for AJJ this month. I am so glad to see you back. Especially with this page which made me smile on a grey snowy morning. Take care of yourself my friend. Hugs-Erika

Use the watering can to nurture the seeds of spring and may it bring a glimmer of hope for the future. Big virtual hugs to you from a cold corner of Scotland- I’m saddened to read that the battle is lost, take comfort in the little things & cherish the memories.

Oh my gosh, I so sorry to hear of your loss. I know this is hard. He definitely wants you to create and get all of those feelings and love on paper to share with yourself and others. Knowing of your loss makes this page even more stunning and beautiful. I see so much in it - wow. Very powerful. Giant virtual hugs.

So pleased you have got back to some crafting, you're right, your husband would have wanted you to continue to get messy! I'm sure it wasn't so easy though! That said, this is fabulous and a lovely bright start to a very different life for you. Sending hugs, Chrisxx
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you, Yvonne. I knew this news would eventually come, you seemed to shrink away from us bit by bit, I suspected it was your hubby. I would love to do it in person, but am sending you a big virtual hug. If it's any consolation, this is one of the most beautiful pages I've ever seen of yours. Prayers and love, XOXO
ReplyDeleteOh Yvonne, so sorry to read this, just found it. I hope you can lose yourself a little in making art and meeting your friends here. Sending lots of love and I know love has always grown on your blogposts.
