Week19 over at Less is MoreAnother and the one layer card challenge set by Chrissie and Mandi is 'In the Frame'
I used an oblong template for my frame using dried marigold distress ink to colour and shade. The stamp I used is by Stampotique, the words I have had a while, but I think they suit this unusual lady. I had to stop myself adding a lined frame round the shading and would love to know what you think about line/or not.
Another challenge that is asking us to try clean and simple technique this week is here at the Stamptique Designers Challenge 32.
Thankyou for stopping by, I realy appreciate your comments.
Great card - unusual lady - and I think no line round the shading
ReplyDeleteA very unusual stamp. I like what you've done with it though and it looks fine as is. Carol x
ReplyDeleteGreat card with a very unusual stamp! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove it Cassie, I think that it would have worked with or without a line... it's just fab|!
ReplyDeleteShe's really cool isn't she!
Thanks so much

ReplyDeleteI love the shading behind the stamped image...great idea!! x
ReplyDeleteI think i['s fab as it is Cassie,
ReplyDeleteWere you thinking a straight solid line, because I think as the yellow is very slightly shaded it would be better left as is!
Thank you so much

Love this! The stamp is great against the yellow square-and no line!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. I have the same dilemma as you with the border, so I did one of each!! Thanks for joining us at Stampotique.
ReplyDeleteA fab, quirky card. I think you were right to leave out the border - she might have looked a bit squashed. She's fab. xx
ReplyDeleteUmm I see what you mean. A very unusual style of stamp, no line needed, your shading is spot on.Caz
ReplyDeleteIt's great without the lines, but I might have drawn (with a ruler) a double line border about 1/8 inch outside the sponged block. Maybe not even full lines, just at the corners....don't mind me...I'm just thinking out loud! LOL!

This is a fun card. The lady is kind of cute in a strange way, and I like the 1 of a kind stamp too. I think it looks good without any lines.Jean x
