Together forever
While trying to tidy my craft desk and find a little order in all the chaos I seem to work in, I came across an image of another favourite stamp from Paperbag studio. So rather than store it in my bits and pieces box, I set to and made this card.
The paper layers are Prima I think, and I used vintage photo distress ink for shading. The image fitted easily into a Spellbinder die shape and the swirls were cut from a sissix die. Lace and buttons from my sewing stash to finish it off.
I did manage to create some order, but came to my usual conclusion, that as long as there is a small space to put the craft mat the rest will find its own level. Anyway every time I have a tidying session I can never find a thing for days afterwards.
Challenges that this card fits the theme are,
Tic, Tac, Toe over at Sugar Creek Hollow a beautiful challenge blog I found recently.
the Tic, tac, toe line is the horizontal one where you have to show-Lace -Buttons -Die cuts.
Also at Just for Fun its 'Anything Goes' this week , so these two treasures will be making an appearance over there as well.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I realy appreciate you calling
Hello
Week4 over at Make my Monday and the last of the floral challenges. This time we have been given a Sketch to follow.
I used K&Co papers for my background. The rose stamp is an all time favourite of mine, I have no idea who its by, its so old. The colouring is done with cosmic shimmer paints and dried marigold distress ink, needless to say the other items are from my stash.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I realy appreciate the comments you leave.

Less is More-week 21
Week21 already over at Less is More , Chrissie and Mandi have given us a Sketch to follow this time.
I have missed a few weeks of this great challenge blog, but it is a real friendly bunch of folk and I'm sure they will forgive me.
So, here are a couple of my efforts following the sketch. I used layers Papermania papers for my strips. Stamped a few Joanna Sheen small flowers to put on my circles. The bling and buttons came from my stash, and the sentiments are from an Inkilicious stamp sheet.

Tea Box
Once again our Sponsers are the lovely folk over at the Craft Barn.
So this box started life filled with tea bags. It will be going as a gift to a friend , filled with assorted teas.
It was a real simple job to alter this. The box was covered with K&Co papers, with the addition of a few left over toppers from a Graphics45 sheet. The ribbon and label came from my stash..
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look at my box, I hope you will join in the fun with us over at TioT's.

Steam power ?
Steanpunk is the current challenge over at Just for Fun, there are some great examples to see, that make you want to try it yourself. I have made a few steampunk cards etc. recently, great for the blokes in your life.
I have used Creative Expressions stamps, I was so pleased I bought these fabulous 3 co-ordinating sets.
The cogs die cuts and embossing folder are TH. Distress ink as usual is my favourite colouring choice, tea dye, frayed burlap and vintage photo. The rest came from my stash.
Thankyou for taking time to stop by and take a look.

Sentiments.
The new Spotlight challenge is asking us to have, 'Sentiments as the Focus'.
All the information and super examples can be found here.
When searching out my Inkylicious sentiment stamps, I thought a simple easel card would be just the job to display the words. With a showy flower to act as a stopper.
It went just as I hoped, until it was time to ask my OH to take a photograph of it. This is the best of many tries.
The other stamps I used are Creative expressions, the papers etc, are from my stash.

Summer Solstice
Over at Try it on Tuesdays this week, we are celebrating the first day of summer. The challenge this time is anything goes, card, tag, scrapbook page etc. whatever takes your fancy.
However we do want you to show the 'Sun' somewhere on your creation.
Please pop over and see the super examples made by my DT friends here.
The picture of Stonehenge is layered on matt gold cardstock with assorted Prima papers.
When looking for a suitable photo, I did a Google search asking for free pictures of Stonehenge, some amazing results came up.
I stamped a sentiment and wild flowers onto acetate, covered the picture, then fixed it in place with brads.
The bright flower came from my stash.
I hope you all have the sun shining where you are today.

Doodles
The folk over at Just for Fun this week have challenged us to 'Get Tangled Up'. I was so pleased when this was explained and I could have a go at doodling. Pop over to see the Fab examples here.
Now, at first I thought this may be quite straight forward, but it has taken days for me to get on with it.
I began with stamping a quote on an ATC, looked at it for ages, picked out a pink, green and black pencil and decided not to get side tracked until I had some kind of pattern on the card. I have to say, this is me well out of my comfort zone. The background I dabbed with tattered rose distress ink and added a bit of bling.

Just messing about.
First I will explain my title, 'just messing about'. Like a few folk I always have a page of my play book/journal open. I don't do waste and that goes for ink as well, so I have quite a few 'messy' backgrounds to play with. So here is the result of adding a recognisable stamped image to a couple of the pages.
It was a good way to spend a wet Sunday morning.
The bike in the doorway is from a Darkroom door Set.
The Horses come from a Kazelcraft plate.

Fly
Grungy Monday week-11 over StudioL3http://studiol3.blogspot.com/ and Linda has set us another technique challenge. This time we have to visit Tim Holtlz blog here to find out all the details of the technique we are to explore..
I did the layer of the card ,coloured with stormy sky, tumbled glass and broken china distress ink, following the instructions found in the post on his blog way back in 2008. I had great fun when I got to the stage of ironing the paper. [you will have to follow the link to see this bit]. Good job it was the craft iron I had to use, the household one is only let out of the cupboard on high days and holidays.
Other colours used were, mustard seed and black soot.
The stamps were Darkroon Door and Crafty Individuals. Other layers of torn paper from my stash as are the rest of the bits and pieces.
Challenges-
The Stampman, Challenge 24 -Boys and Men
SimonSays Stamp and Show Show your Distressed /Torn Edges.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I realy appreciate you calling and the comments you leave.

Cassie . [clean and simple]
Week19 over at Less is MoreAnother and the one layer card challenge set by Chrissie and Mandi is 'In the Frame'
I used an oblong template for my frame using dried marigold distress ink to colour and shade. The stamp I used is by Stampotique, the words I have had a while, but I think they suit this unusual lady. I had to stop myself adding a lined frame round the shading and would love to know what you think about line/or not.
Another challenge that is asking us to try clean and simple technique this week is here at the Stamptique Designers Challenge 32.

Dames de Paris
The theme for June over at Crafty Individuals is 'Vintage with a Heart'..
For this card I used Prima Papers for the layers, they seemed to blend so well together.
The stamp is Crafty Individuals C1-303, coloured with cosmic shimmer watercolour paints.
I used the T.H. Tattered floral die for three of the petal layers of the large flower with a single layer under the small rosebuds. There is distress stickles on the flower petals, but not all has shown up so well on the photo.
The lace and heart charms came from my stash.
This card will I think also fit the theme for this week at, Make my Monday, which is to include die cut flowers.

Butterfly days.
The challenge for this week at Try it on Tuesdays is to make a 'Tag' and the theme is ' Butterflies.'
There are some great examples made by my fellow DT friends, over at TioT's.
My tag base, is stamped with a variety of stamps. Coloured with distress inks tea dye, worn lipstick, bundled sage and mustard seed.
The main image is a Paperbag Studio stamp, Lily is coloured with cosmic shimmer paint. [I nearly always call this little lady that name when I use her on my pieces.]
I had great plans to make some butterflies from scratch, but have used these real pretty ones from a T.H. Salvage Sticker pack. For the corners I reached for a favourite Martha Stewart punch and the other items came from my stash.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I realy appreciate you taking the time to call by.

Distress Ink-o-Rama
Week 10 over at StudioL3 and Linda has made many folk extremely happy, to play and create with Distress Inks, this has got to be one of my most used mediums created by Tim Holtz, if you haven't visited his web site before, the inspiration and ideas, fair blow you away..
For this piece I used a selection of Tim's Stampers Anonymous stamps. The layers I embossed with a brick alterations plate. The bird is a die cut and the photo is from the Salvage sticker pack, the rest is from my stash.
Now to the colours, my fingers still have areas of these shades of Distress Inks, -tea dye-walnut stain-wild honey-black soot. For the highlights I used vintage photo distress stickles.
Just for Fun also has a Tim Holtz challenge this week the theme is 'Something Anything all thing Tim'
Both these challenges have fantastic examples by the DT's.

Patisserie
There is a new challenge blog called Make My Monday, it has just started this week and the first theme is for the card to have a red flower.
This is my last post from caravan land, we are heading home tomorrow.
The words on the sentiment are, Too much of a good thing is simply wonderful. I can relate to this with all the cakes and chocolates I have managed to enjoy recently. Just thinking I should have saved the packages, they may have been useful for another challenge. What an excuse to buy more.
The stamps are are from a Darkroom Door set, which I just had to have when I visited the Artists Trading Post the other day. The papers etc are from my stash
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I hope to catch up with you all soon.

She's got eyes everywhere.
Catching up with one of my favourite blog challenges over at Just For Fun this week its 'Eye Spy with my Little Eye', how you interpret the title is up to you. Yipee, I have just the right stamps with me for this one.
I used stamps from a sheet of Aspects of Design, by the Stampman, the eye stamp on my background seemed just right for the theme. It is coloured with worn lipstick distress ink.
I will also add this card to the new Craftroom Challenge blog, whose first theme is Anything Goes.

From the two of us.
Well, I am real late with this weeks card. It is my version of using the Shabby Chic technique on one of the layers, using my limited caravan supplies. Papers were not a problem I just wish I had packed some daubers, but not to be stuck I used some paint splashes and rubbed them around a bit.
GrungyMonday week 10. Linda over at StudioL3 has asked us to pop over to Tim Holtz blog see the technique for this week, instructions here, where you will see how its done using the correct products.

Big Boys Toys
Thought I would share with you a photo of my lads toys. We have spent the last 9 days with them and other landrover folk at the National rally. As you can see it was a field in the middle of nowhere, but the company was fantastic.
We are now spending a week in Derbyshire recovering, before going home. I will be on the hunt for a craft shop or two. Well it would not do to miss an oppotunity to find a few things that I cannot possibly do without.
This is my altered Cd for this weeks Try it on Tuesdays. I did have it on a pre-post but it seems to have gone walkabout. it was to alter anything, with a dream theme. The Cd will detatch from the background to make a hanging. It is a decoupage from a Joanna Sheen CD, it is ages since I have used it.
Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I will visit you all as soon as I have better internet connections.
