Autumn

Autumn is our new theme over at Try it on Tuesdays

This could be a scene, the colours or your interpretation of this season of the year.

I think autumn for me can be represented with the rich colours of nature, the deep ruby reds, rusty browns as well,  apples ripening on the trees,   the crinkling crunchy leaves when walking  over them, [not so good having to sweep them all up as the leaves fall into the garden.] 

Watching the birds squawk over the berries on bushes and seeing how they chase  others  to  protect their territory is an interesting way to spend  a quiet autumn afternoon.

For the theme I created a layered base on my kraft card  journal page

adding  a variety of digital images.

The base layers for my card were dry embossed and then coloured with distress ink.

I decided to keep this a simple card adding a simple computer generated  flower image.

Animals real or imaginary.

My digital  journal page is  about real animals, who seem to be happy together. Now in the real/ wild  world this is a scene that I think would never be seen.

 However  for a moment they all seem to be getting along together.

Keep it Simple...

is the new challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays.

For this simply layered card, which I left  with a lot [for me] of white space

 I used a single stamp image,

 which was cut into an oval shape and layered using a similar coloured paper to the colour of the image.

It could have been used for a few occasions but this card was for a birthday.

Summer Blooms.....

Roses are the flowers that represent  the months of summer to me.

I have created this layered digital card,

 you may wonder why I choose to use  digital programs for my  cards just now

 and the answer for me is a simple one....

I enjoy the process and I can be sure the card gets to its destination on the correct  day, in an email .

One of a Kind

'Make it Feminine'

is the new challenge theme over at

 Try it on Tuesdays

I'm sure we all have different ideas on how ' feminine'  fits into our lives and our  art,

the team have shared lots of ideas and we hope you will join us and share your takes on this topic.

My page is a digital creation . I find it hard these days to hold things for very long without dropping them, which create their own problems if paint or inks  are  involved. 

My  thoughts behind this page ...

Eva,  dreaming of being a dancer and thinking she could never be a graceful Ballerina.

She doesn't realise how special and  lovely she looks to her family and friends.

She is for sure......'one of a kind'..

Make it Magical..... at TioT's

 Make it Magical......

is our new theme over at Try it on Tuesdays.

My thoughts behind this theme were to make a digital   Birthday card to send to

a fun loving friend.  Only one candle on the cake  as, when reaching a certain age we may  want to  subtract a few years. However the birds all turned up to sing  a birthday greeting

 to make the day magical.
