Spots, dots and splashes for TioT's

'Spots, dots and Splashes',
is the new challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays
Time to have some fun, the team have made some fantastic pieces to share with you,
please pop over and take a look..

I have made  a couple of versions to share with you

Above  is the digital page  I made,
Changing the colours and adding some digi elemnents
but all the fun was in the making of the inky and messy
focal image for a  card.

This is  the base image I used., a Sheena Douglas stamp.  She was stamped first, covered in masking fluid then I had fun with splashed and scribbles  and a spray.
After rubbing off the fluid , she was coloured with water colour paints.

I did add more  colour,   patted it on with a  with a tissue, very careful at this stage as
I had taken off the masking fluid.  A  bit of random stamping.
and she was ready to be layered onto a card.

Thank you for calling in to see me today.
The comments you leave for me are always appreciated.

Make believe and a cup of tea with friends

Two posts in one day from me, quite unusual but I wanted to share this digital page,

This first post is for the challenge over at
where the theme is Monochrome
This little guy has got himself all dressed up and hopes he can fly away,
just like the airship in his dreams.

Next
I am off to visit with Bleubeard and Elizabeth

These  photos were  taken yesterday, in the fields, with Meg out on her morning walk.

very misty across the valley

but clear on the way home.

Big discussions over the cup of tea to decide what my husband would like for his evening meal,
as its his birthday, he gets to choose,
Chicken  with wild mushrooms,

Now all I have to do is make it tonight.

Take your umbrella

Sharing a mop up page tonight.
so this spread turned out quite quick to make as the colour was already there.
My new stamp of the man with his umbrella[THoltz] and a droplet one for rain..
The rest was a variety of stencils. I even used up the black distress ink [colour for said stencils]
around the edge of the page.
The words on the right side were added after I had taken the photo and loaded it onto the computer,

Another Travel page for Art Journal Journey
where Erika chose this months theme of journeys.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today.

Journey of discovery

I wonder where today's journey of discovery will take me.
Well certainly France and maybe a bit of culture in Italy.
This page had the statues and base layer added in my Craft Studio program.

This is how the page began.

A sprayed background, a bit of random stamping and  stencil. Hot colours for me to use, but they were to hand and already mixed.

More stamping, a photo taken,
then,  off to have more added via the computer.
But first of all the hands needed a good scrub to remove the paint.
One of the joys of mixed media crafting for me.

This is my second page for this months theme at
where the theme is Journeys.

Thank you for calling to see me today I always appreciate the comments you leave.

Added images were  from Mischief Circus.
......  Dezinaworld and  my own base layers.

Altered Portraits.

A none messy crafting day today,
but still loads of fun creating digital pages.

This first one is for the new theme over at
where this weeks theme is
' Mosaic'.
The small mosaic patterns in two of the corners,  show this portrait in its original colours.

Next page is my take on giving this famous painting a
 ''Make Over''
which is the theme over at
Take a Word Challenge

I don't think Mona minds the new hat,
but she certainly isn't happy with the shoes.

Thank you for stopping by to see what I have been making.
The comments you leave for me are always appreciated.

Additional elements used were
 from Mischief Circus kits.

A crafty day and a tea bag.

Its the second week of the Vintage Photo challenge at Try it on Tuesdays
I have two journal pieces to share with you,

The first spread is mixed media, lots of paint, random stamping , texture,  spread on with a bit of plastic and some scraps and bits and pieces from my saved box.
A lovely messy play.

Next a layered  digital collage page.
A much cleaner way to be creative.

The main images were all found from Google searches.
other additions were from Mischief Circus and my own stored ones.

Now playing and getting messy in the craftroom is a great way to pass  the day,
but we all need to take time out for a cuppa..... my choice....
You guessed it,   '' Tea''

As its Tuesday, I will stop by and say hello to the folk
at Bleubeard and Elizabeth
and share my  cuppa with them.

Isn't she a gem.

Thank you for calling to see me today, I always appreciate the comments you leave for me.

Go discover

The folk at Art Journal Journey announced the theme for May this morning......
 ''Journeys''.

I had already started a few  pages  in my journal, to try out some new Tim Holtz stamps, when I read the new theme.
We love the country side as a destination, especially when we go away in the caravan. We are also lucky not to live in a town,.  So . I found a few snippets I'd saved, a piece of an old map and some animals. Stencils to add a bit of interest and extra colour.
I am trying to keep my pages a little less crowded, but don't think this resolution will last very long.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today.
