Opening a new door can be quite challenging,
wondering where and how people live and what it is like behind the closed door.
The doors to our homes can be similar to our neighbours or completely different
in style and the way they looks to others,
but inside will be unique to themselves,
their home, their place to feel safe.
This page is for the new theme that Valerie has chosen for us over at ...
Art Journal Journey......
'When one door opens another closes'.
A mop up background for the page with some fussy cut stamped images and the two TH found relatives were the starting place for this page, which was altered and manipulated in the digital computer program that I use [notes in my sidebar]
Maisie and Alice have met two new friends while they were playing outside in the garden.
Alice wondered where they lived. It came as quite a surprise when Maisie showed her the small door beside their own that took the little people into their own home.
I hope you will call over to the Art Journal Journey blog to see the inspiration and explanation of this new theme that Valerie has posted for us there and we look forward to seeing how you interpret this new topic.
Please read the rules while you are there as a few have been changed slightly
and we now accept smaller pages.
A really clever entry, Yvonne. It is certainly a different way of looking at doors. People have pet doors, but I never thought of having a door for the little ones. I like your take on Valerie's theme at AJJ. It is very clever and quite well done.
ReplyDeleteI love this page, and the thought of having a little door where the little people can go in and out. Reminds me somehow of tales from my childhood, like Mr Noddy and Bis Ears! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteLove. love, love this page Yvonne. The little door welcoming those little folk is fun and I love those girls. Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun page Yvonne. I love the background. And those little critters you added. The quote made me smile. This is perfect to start the new month and the new AJJ challenge. I hope your month is starting off well. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is absolutely amazing, Yvonne! I LOVE the gorgeous background, sweet girls, and especially like that wonderful quote. So perfect for this challenge! Thanks for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely thoughts your page brings. I love those fairy doors you see in shops and have always wanted one to attach to one of the trees in our garden yet I would never have thought of this version of Valerie's theme. Wonderful idea Yvonne.
ReplyDeleteIn the magical world of children there are definitely little people and I a sure they have doors here and there where they an come and go. Oops, my imagination is running riot now. Thanks for a lovely idea and page to illustrate.
Hugs, Neet xx
Great and beautiful your door page and right I often wonder who and how lives behind the doors!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful Time, hugs, Elke
A lovely page Yvonne and it's nice to think the little folk have their own special door, just like fairies.
