A new topic starts today for November over at
The theme is....
All Kinds of Weather
chosen for us by Chris from Pear shaped Crafting.
Please call over to Art Journal Journey to see the details and the page Chris is sharing to inspire us all.
You will also find the small print regarding the rules of our challenge blog.
This is how my page began in my hands on journal. A painted stormy but messy sky an image of a man struggling with his umbrella in the wind, which even had the tree bending in the gusts of wind.
The next stage was to add another tree and have a digital play around in the program I use and alter it to fit on my hybrid page, calm down the splodges that were supposed to be rain drops, then computer generate the words.
We hope you will have fun with this new theme and join us at Art Journal Journey.
I love how this page started Yvonne. It is clever and well done. When you added the digital elements I was even more impressed. I even laughed when I read what the man had to say about the weather, too. This is a fabulous entry for Chris's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun journal page! Last year my umbrella literally flew away in a storm, so I can relate! Have a wonderful, new week, take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI love how your page started but ...Oh wow! the digital additions - those words especially really make me smile. We had a moment yesterday of about 2 minutes of really howling wind and rain in amongst a day of rain, wind and occasional sunshine. If I had been out in it I would have had the same thoughts as your man wrestling with his umbrella. Thanks so much for this clever entry for my theme at AJJ, Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteNow that is definitely a windy page Yvonne. I love this. What cool images of the tree and the man. This is so perfect for Chris' challenge. Very nice piece my friend. Take care. And Happy November. I hope you have a good one!!! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWhat a great page Yvonne - and it's been a bit like that here today! x
ReplyDeleteGreat page Yvonne! I love a bit of wild weather!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Yvonne, love this. I don't like the wind.
ReplyDeleteHope you are OK, hugs Wendy
This is a fantastic, beautiful work of art and I always have to laugh when so many vacationers fight against the storm at my coast and take a broken umbrella home with them!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy November!
Hugs, Elke
What a windy page you have for us Yvonne. I love it! Love the colour palette being so restricted, it give atmosphere to the whole page in your journal.
ReplyDeleteI love a good blow, especially on the promenade somewhere but not quite as blowy as that, gosh, it would lift me off my feet (no it wouldn't, too heavy at the moment LOL) .
Hugs, Neet xx
