Another Steampunk style journal page
for Valerie's theme..... Heavy Metal
over at Art Journal Journey
I created these pages in the digital program I use on my computer,
I think this would be a rather uncomfortable cycle to ride,
but I hope it would be a fun experience.
At least he has saved a pile of metal bits and pieces from the scrap pile
Maybe if he secured the springs to the floor,
it could double up as an exercise bike.
However you spend your day, stay safe.
I love your gorgeous journal spread Yvonne, and the visionary bike the man is riding. Thanks so much for linking to my challenge at AJJ, hugs, Valerie

This is a fun page Yvonne. Steampunk is a great idea for Valerie's challenge. You certainly hit the heavy metal theme in a major way. Hope you had a good day, or should I say hope you have a good Friday. hugs-Erika

I think I will have to get some junk and make one of those bikes for Bill! But you’re probably correct in thinking that it’s not going to be a comfortable ride lol.

Lovely and fun. The words are so true - I had a junk booth for years and my daughter is a thrifting queen so I know they are true. Such creative pages and that bike looks very uncomfortable - but fun!
ReplyDeleteFabulous fun steampunk page and great quote Yvonne ... Gill x

That is a fascinating bicycle. I'm sure you and he had fun building it and you're right, it's good to reuse something maybe in a different way instead of discarding it. These are very steampunky pages.
ReplyDeleteA fuyn page Yvonne, I can just imagine that bike bouncing along and that quote is so very true.

ReplyDeleteWow Yvonne, it's ONLY Sunday and I'm finally getting around to visiting you. Yes, I'm that far behind!! I really enjoyed the bicycle. It was a fun look at how your mind works. It was clever and fits well with Valerie's theme at AJJ, too. I love that quote. In fact, it fits me perfectly! I love looking for hidden treasures and I found one in your spread, dear.
What fun to ride a bicycle just like this Yvonne, a fun page for Valerie's Heavy Metal theme. Makes for a smashing double page journal spread. Hugs Tracey xx
