A hybrid page for Valerie's theme ..... \Geometrical Shapes
The background was a mop up, smudged mess which I tried to stamp onto, some worked some didn't.
I was going to share more photos, but my camera and the laptop decided to
chew them up. [this problem continues, they are two Diva's and don't get on together these days.]
I decided to create a flower to cover most of the mess
and came across a forgotten book of TH stickers.,
also just the right amount of alphabet stickers to add a word.
As you can see there is a variety of colours on the original page and as you know I like to have a play and add a few digital alterations.
First job,
change the colours to shades of green.
Next add a few butterflies.
Last note to self
STOP fiddling it looks okay.
I wonder which version you like?
Thank you for calling in today.
Stay safe and well.
Both great versions.....the original colour version has the edge for me however :-)

Wowww this is a fantastic geometrical flower Yvonne !! Always delighted with your great Art! I love both versions, and, perhaps, I prefer the original version, due to the variety of colours.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a very nice Friday, stay safe and well my friend,
Biig hugs, Caty
I left a comment before and it seems to have disappeared, sorry. I like both versions very much, it's always amazing how a different colour changes things so much. Great idea with the tickets made into a flower. I have a booklet of them somewhere, and I don't know where they are....Have a nice evening, look after yourself, and thanks for linking to my theme at AJJ! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGreat page and a good use for the tickets. I love the green and the red butterflies. Stay safe, Wendy xx
ReplyDeleteVery clever idea Yvonne. I would have never thought to do that but I really really like the result!Hugs-Erika

I like both versions, but I think I really like the original the best. I like all the colors, not just the complimentary colors for Valerie's page. Still they are both beautiful. Yes, quit fiddling with it. It's perfect the way it is! Great entry for Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun page! I love how you created a flower out of the TH stickers, the variety of colours against the blue background looks amazing 😁. Wishing you a happy weekend and keep well! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI think both versions work well, nice to see.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I like them both - each has a different feel. So cool how color changes everything. GREAT ideas on these. I love the tickets!!!
ReplyDeleteHow funny... if you'd asked me without seeing them whether I would prefer a flower in green or a flower with lots of red and yellow, I would unhesitatingly have said the green version. But though I do like the vivid greens, the multi-coloured version has a sort of primitive folkart look, and a sunshine happiness about it which I just love. Sorry to hear your camera and laptop are at loggerheads - what a nuisance. Glad you managed to share the pages nonetheless.
