Heritage
is the theme at Tag Tuesday
When I read the post Wilma had chosen the theme because their post went live on
World Heritage Day.
My first thought was of a city in the next county to ours Durham
This Tag is showing Durham Cathedral [This is a link if you would like more information].
It is a digital tag with internet searched photos.
This tag was made with bits and pieces always to be found lurking in my craft room.
Stickers, papers, die cuts the photo is a TH found relative etc.
I thought I would tell you my thoughts behind this tag.
We were away with friends and family on Easter Sunday .
The parents arranged an egg hunt for the children and we saw them searching and gathering eggs , having fun, their laughter was quite infectious. It was good to see some of the old pastimes being still used by
today's modern families.
What even made this more special was that after the search, they counted their eggs and......................
then shared them, so every one had a fair share of the eggs.... Magical moments.
Thank you for calling in today, you are most welcome here.
Great tags!
ReplyDeleteAmazing tags Yvonne and both so different. Love the one with the children and tale to tell of the Easter Egg hunt. Nice to hear that winning isn't the answer these days and sharing is far more important.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining in with us at Tag Tuesday
Love Chrissie xx
Fabulous tags. I enjoyed reading the back story to the second one. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which of these tags I like better. You make magic tags, and the traditional one is unbelievable. I've not looked through my TH relatives I recently purchased, but you have come up with an amazing image and wonderful memory. These are both fabulous tags for World Heritage Day. Have a fantastic Friday, dear.
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful tags - just brilliant made and I love to hear that the younger generation shows how to be kind and social! That is so important!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I can hear children laughing when you wrote your little story and it made me happy. What a great sounds that is. :) I love both of your tags. I like the Durham one because I live in a New Hampshire town called New Durham, named of course by people who came from the Durham in your tag. Interesting to see how different they are. My town is rural and very wooded, not a heritage site. :) Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWonderful tags. Sounds like Easter was magical. TFS the story. Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

2 Fantastic tags Yvonne - the one with the TH 'found relatives' ie especially endearing.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that the Easter Egg hunt tradition still continues - fresh air and fun - really fabulous! :) and much better than being stuck in doors playing computer games.
Have a lovely weekend ... Gill xx
Oohhhhh Yvonne ... love these tags !!! Both are wonderful!! This cathedral is so beautiful!.... Love so so much your second tag with all details and the photograph of the children laughing while they search the eggs... Great ! I wish you a very happy day, hugssssss
ReplyDeleteBoth your tags are fantastic, and the second one brings back happy memories. Durham brings back happy memories for me, too - my room-mate at college came for there, Her Dad was one of the priests at the cathedral, so I spent a lot of weekends there with her. Thanks so much for joining us at TT, much appreciated! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteTwo great tags Yvonne, two lovely views of the Cathedral (hope the weather is as nice for me when I'm there tomorrow!)
ReplyDeleteLoved the story behind the Easter egg hunt, a great tag with a lovely photo.

Beautiful, beautiful tags!! Love the story and all the great details on the Easter tag!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story about the Easter egg hunt, I organise one every year for my grandchildren but the teacher in me gives them a clipboard and tick sheet to fill in so they all end up getting the same amount lol.
ReplyDeleteFabulous heritage tags and images.
Have a wonderful weekend xxx
Lovely soft lilacs and lavenders on the Durham tag - makes it look very romantic when in my head (and from brief glimpses from the train as I'm heading north) it's always looked a little grim.
ReplyDeleteWe always have an egg hunt too - even in the years when there wasn't really anyone of "suitable" age for it. Glad to have my niece and nephew around to legitimise it again at the moment! I absolutely love the vintage layers on the second tag - and great red accents.

Fabulous tags to go with your great weekend. We did an egg hunt for my three grandchildren, but had to make sure they all found the same amount. This idea was somewhat thwarted by the dog finding one in two seconds flat and unwrapping it and eating it.
ReplyDeleteyou've made 2 wonderful tags! each very different and beautifully done. xo
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous tags Yvonne! Love them both but the reminder of Durham is my favourite! Chrisx
