On the left , a little peep inside this weeks project for Sugar Creek Hollow.
This challenge is called 'An Altered State', we are asking you to alter something in a Shabby Chic/Vintage manner.
Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.
Also welcome our Guest Designer for this week Sandy.
This is what I decided to alter. A cheese box and very delicious it was too. It was painted a few times with acrylic paint, I use tester pots from a well known U.K. DIY shop.
Most of the card and papers I used were from Hunkydory.
Decoupage on the inside.
The lid, I covered with a floral paper.
Lace trimmings etc and a Happy Birthday topper.
This was not easy to photogragh, as the gold edges reflected the light.
So if I haven't bored you with all the pictures, this is the last one, an alternative Birthday card for for some one special .
I will also be entering these challenges,
Happy Campers Challenge13 add some dimension, inside the box is decoupaged.
Craft Room Challenge -In the Garden-Anything but a card.. hope the scene inside the box fits the theme.
Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate you calling and I do appreciate your comments.
This is really gorgeous, and I love that cheese, too - just seeing the box made me hungry! Have a nice weekend, hugs, Valerie

Hello Yvonne,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. To answer your question what happened to the chocolate...well I didn't like it very much, but hubby took care of both the hen and the egg, LOL. I've never altered anything before, but now that I've seen the SCH's amazing projects, I'm starting to gather lots of ideas and I want to do it soon again! This is great; a cheese box, wouldn't have thought of that, and it turned out beautiful as well. Gorgeous Spring colours; I sure hope it'll arrive soon, I think we've waited long enough now! Your Spring break looks like a Winter break, LOL.
Hugz,
Sandy
