Time Flies
The new Challenge theme over at Try it on Tuesdays is 'Time Flies'.
This has to be one of my favourite themes, this time I decided to make a wall hanging.
Please pop over to see what we have all been making. and get all the details.
Our sponsor for February is Real, Reasonable ribbons and there is a generous voucher for this months winner.
First of all the base boards were random stamped with various time related and script stamps
The trusty Vintage photo distress ink shaded the bottom layer.
Next layer was treated to a covering of Weathered wood distress ink, then the corners and edges were roughly heat embossed using an old gold embossing powder.
A piece of cardboard passed through the crimper, then given a light rug with metallic gold wax came next.
At last the addition of the Clock, a trusty well used Alterations die cut from black
card, this got the gold wax treatment as well.
The flowers are Sheena Douglas stamps, water coloured then fussy cut. All other additions came from my stash.
I will also link to the Cheerful Stamp Pad whose current challenge is 'Anything but a Card'.
Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate your comments.

Serenity
'Red , Black and Brown', is our new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
You will have guessed that this is a 'colour' theme and we would like you to use all the colours as well as stamping on your projects. Please pop over for all the details and see what my design team sisters have all been making.
The image I used is by Chapel Road, stamped up with a Coffee Archival ink pad.
Base card is from Kanban, up close it is printed to look like a bit like brocade.
The red layer was covered with black mesh, I then frayed the edges of the linen.
I even managed to find a small piece of brown lace in my box of trimmings, when I added the finishing touches.
Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate your comments.

Bella

Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.
Also we have a wonderful Guest designer with us this week Brenda Brown hope you can stop by to say hello.
Out of this range of choices, I decided on a Hat.
I cannot remember the last time I wore one, probably for a wedding. These days its pull on wooly hats to keep out the cold and wet , when walking the dog.
This handsome hat image was sent to me from a friend in a lucky package.
All the layers, papers and additions were from my stash.
The extra shading is distress inks, weathered wood and shabby shutters.
I will also like to enter the, 'Very Vintage' challenge over at Crafts4eternity .
Thank you for stopping by I always appreciate your comments.

Love is.......
This is my February Fat page [4x4 inches] which I made to swap with a friend.
The papers were once again all from a Graphics45 stack.
On the left is a photo of the other side of the page.
All the additions came from my stash and were mainly scraps and left over trimmings.
To add interest this to this years swap I have been adding tags that can be pulled out from between the page back/front layer.
The good old Vintage Photo distress ink was used for the extra shading.
I will be entering the February Challenge over at Tando-Creative which is 'Love love me do', as I think these happy couples are showing their love.
Thank you for stopping by, I always appreciate your comments.

Crafty Cardmakers .
We are sponsored this time by Crafts and Me offering a store voucher for the winner.
Also we have a super prize from a mystery donor.
So please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making this time.
I used a flower shaped card blank. I won't trouble you with all the joy!! I had making an inset to fit this shape. A few choice words, then one of those rare moments, when you could kick yourself for not using the shape to make a template and cutting it slightly smaller.
Anyway the card was random stamped with flowers and a leaf stamp using Peeled Paint and Victorian Velvet [ also used for shading] distress inks.
The bloom came from my flower box.
Thank you for stopping by I really appreciate your comments.

All the colouring and shading is distress inks, vintage photo, wild honey and festive berries.

I used a resist technique for the background, using Perfect Medium then dusting over with mica powder.
The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on to a couple of Spellbinders Labels28 .
The flowers were stamped and coloured with water colour paint with a touch of glitter in the centre.
All the other shading is Vintage Photo distress ink.

Feathers not fur.
I often wonder why I like to make easel cards for a change and then have all the hassle of getting a decent photo. This is the card I made for our new Challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow which is, ' Feathers and Fur', I hope you like it. We would like to see animals or birds on the project, I chose to go with the feathered option. Our style is vintage / shabby chic , please pop over and see what we have all been making.
I have added a couple of extra photos, one when the card is closed and one of the stopper bar.
I used Debbie Moore's 'Shabby Chic-Vintage Birds' CD for the papers and images. A couple of layers of decoupage to add some depth to the bird and flower. The trusty vintage photo distress ink was used for extra shading. There is a touch of glitter on the flowers tips.
I would like to say hello to my new followers, thank you for joining me on my crafty journey.
Thank you for stopping by to take a look, I really appreciate your comments.

Vintage Love
Love is certainly in the air this month. Challenge 84 over at Crafty Cardmakers is hosted by Kylie. She has chosen the theme 'Vintage Love'.
Please pop over for all the details and see what we have all been making.
There are some lovely inspiration pictures for the challenge as well..
Our two sponsors are Di's Digi Downloads and Hobby Art offering super prizes to our challenge winners.
I used a die cut frame for my old photo image. The frame was smeared with an old, gold metalic paste, had to use the fingers to get in the corner of the pot. What an excuse to get messy.
The flowers and leaves are from a Sheena Douglas Stamp set embossed then painted with Pebeo Fantasy paint.
All the extra shading was Peeled Paint distress ink.
Thank you for stopping by, your comments are always appreciated..

With Love
'Romantic love, is this weeks challenge theme over at Sugar Creek Hollow. Please pop over for all the details and see what we have been making. We would love to see your romantic looking projects, but remember our style is vintage/shabby chic.
I made this card using a scalloped base card. All the layers were cut , or die cut [hearts] from Hunkydory card stock. There is glitter in the centre of the flowers but it hasn't shown so well on the photo. The loving couple is from a printed image sheet. Additional shading is Victorian Velvet distress ink.
which is Monochromatic colour and ribbon creation
Will enter this also to the Challenge over here at Really Reasonable Ribbons. Thanks for prompting me to look Sandee
