'A New Dimension' is the challenge set by Linda over at StudioL3 this week. There are some fabulous pieces by the DT .
We can get all the information on how to do this here, at The May Technque Challenge over on Tim Holtz 's inspirational blog.
Once again I had to improvise as my foam pieces have gone walk about. Not to be detered, I cut up an old computer mouse mat that was still lurking in the 'might come in useful' cupboard. The leaf is a broken broach, from a charity shop, coloured with red pepper alcohol ink. The heart is a Tim Holtz die, coloured with distress inks and metalic paint for the crown and wings. The papers I have had a while, I used a script stamp in places, but it has faded into the background.
Thankyou for stopping by, I realy appreciate your comments.
That mouse mat certainly did come in handy ! Lovely piece. Love all the elements.

ReplyDeleteGreat piece, love the rich colours and dimension. And I'm glad I'm not the only one saving things that might come in handy!! Valerie
ReplyDeleteLovely piece Yvonne, great idea to use a mouse mat and that little broken broach leaf is another terrific recycle. Very clever. XOXO Zoe
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous Yvonne! Now why didn't I think of using an old mouse mat (I have several too). I did have some funky foam but that's a bit floppy so resorted to the rigid mountboard. Love how your piece has turned out - truly altered art!
ReplyDeleteThe used mouse pad is a great idea! Love your creation! The paper and the leaf work so well together! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA stunning piece of work and clever use of the mouse mat. Love the leaf!
