Victorian Romance

My 3rd week  as a guest designer over at Make My Monday and the theme  for the challenge is
' Victorian Romance'.   Please pop over for all the details and see the fabulous examples.
I decided to make a wall hanging.
My heart was hand cut on thick cardstock, coated with a watered down pale pink acrylic paint.
The other colouring I used was victorian velvet distress ink.
The stamp for the background is from Chocolate Baroque.
Memory box die cuts for the cage and the swirls.
Using some of my favourite store items of lace,  flowers etc  to trim and decorate.

Mardi Gras

Well, for  this card, I did  not reach out for any stamps. Its good to try something different for a change.
When I read that the  Rainbow Ladys new challenge  No192 was Mardi Gras, I reached for my new Debbie Moore Stamping magazine and used some of the papers  etc that came with it.
The gold miri  was embossed then rubbed over with sandpaper to age it a little.
I used vintage photo distress inks to tone the colours down and added some pearls, gems, glitter and feathers.
Also used was some distress embossing power at the edges of the shaped layer.

Thankyou for stopping by to take a look, I realy appreciate your comments.

Hearts and Flowers

My second guest spot over at Make My Monday and the Romance continues this week with the new theme being ' Hearts and Flowers, Stamping and Die Cuts' and you must use both. As always  there are beautiful examples by the DT   here, so please pop over for all the details.

First of all I used a flower stamp to cover my card and layer, it was an old ink pad, but just the colour I needed.
I then used the free heart stamp from the Craft Stamper magazine  over the top layer, using  another oldie in pink.
The golden  heart is a Spellbinders die and the corners are made from a Memorybox die.
